The property is in the hands of Wild Brain, who were the ones who uploaded it, so it's official, just without any of the people involved in the old show and with an even lower budget

it's something they established in the original series, as unlike all the other alternate Johnny's in that episode she actually had shown up in the original series, that episode basically shipped the two of them together pretty hard, though that episode kinda seemed to be written with the assumption that Johnny and Joni were merely universal counterparts of each other rather than Joni literally being a female version of Johnny
