The main usecases of Link (price feeds) will be obsolete when >50% percent of trades are done on chain (and that includes futures, derivates, etc not only crypto). Once every operation in this world is done on chain (this will happen in the long run) you won't need Chainlink as a simple merkle tree will get you the info for free. Chainlink will be a profitable band aid in the middle term and getting residual usage in the long run. That's why Vitalik is so sceptic and every crypto person who see the big picture scoff at Chainlink

I'm smallfry. Only got 32k tokens. I'm not looking for anything stupid like 1k eoy. I'll derisk some when it hits 120 or 140. I'll always keep a portion in CL, but if upside is that good I can afford the 2-5y hit to live like a rockstar.
