Supposedly this game is poor man's Monster Hunter, but seeing how Monster Hunter is shit now, how much worse can it really be? Has anyone played it?

Honestly thought the 1st game was really boring. I don't know where the good press came from.

I'd describe it as a game that does absolutely nothing original, but is still good for how well it all comes together. Surprisingly isn't that bloated for a modern open world game. Exploring the ruins and taking down robot dinosaurs is the best part.

I'm genuinely excited.

hah what the fuck? No, the game is nothing like Monster Hunter. It's closer to Assassin's Creed, pre-Origins, than anything.

I'd rather have cosmetic face options to make her not ugly.

It has a lot of the trappings of a modern Ubisoft Sandbox game, towers to climb, bandit camps to clear out, crafting upgrades, etc.

But it has giant robot dinosaurs, so it's actually good.

Is the first game good? I've owned it for months but haven't bothered installing it.

the fact they made an emphasis on the enviroment make me think they're dropping the ubisoft esque open world

It's more like a Ubisoft copy paste generic fetch quest open world game. Hunting the robot animals is fun, but the novelty wears off.

Instant buy.

It's a game that played it kind safe design wise but is an overall good package. Combat vs. machine was fantastic and the story was interesting enough. The expansion also improved on the vanilla game (better animation, better water, more interesting side quests)

I won't tell you it's the greatest thing ever but I had a great time putting in 45~50 hours in it for base + expansion combined.

Looks great. They should've showed off flying mounts and co-op though.

The big monster on the cover of the game doesn't last as long as a Tigrex. Nothing about this game is like monster hunter other than fighting things bigger than yourself.

Can't see myself getting a PS5 any time soon but I hope the sequel is as good.

Mute the dialog and spend as little time talking to NPCs as possible and you have a decent open world game.

The are direction was breath taking, the action combat in the 1st game was so 10/10.

All they need are more robots, deeper customization more ways to explore like underwater worlds can’t wait

i enjoyed figuring out the backstory bit by bit and the whole "ITS A FEMINAZI" game thing barely ever comes up, maybe in 4 quests she makes a remark "oh cuz im a womyn??" thats it
