Who cares

But it also plays it at 1440p.
Either way the S is for poor people and they should be thankful for anything they can get.

I am not even memeing, I wish resolution fags would all die in their sleep tonight. It is such a no factor, it is so overrated, and so overobsessed over. Resolutionfags hold back gaming.

Meanwhile ps5 overheats trying to play it while your triggers break from too much force LMAO

cope

>Series X averages out at 1720p
kek

What's the point of the S when it risks bottlenecking the dev for the X games?

Fucking shit

Man, this cope is pathetic. Nobody is making you buy an Xbox.

i like high resolution more than framerate

Is the S version running the same graphics settings as the X one?

lol cope

But Digital Foundry and MS said that it was running at 4K 120 FPS at settings higher than available on PC? How come it's dynamic 4K suddenly?

>Digital Foundry
>"This game looks brilliant on consoles"
>rock solid sub 30fps with dynamic resolution and graphical adjustments

>xbox shills sayd [THING]

LUL

Literally the most important factor in any fucking game, retard

What, did you actually expect that any console manufacturer would actually tell the truth before release instead of just bullshitting you? Is this your first new console gen?

There is really nothing good about modern mainstream gaming outside of graphics. Gameplay has been stagnating for a long while with maybe one or two decent, big games being released per year despite of gorillions of them being made.

What the fuck is wrong with Microsoft? All those teraflops and for what?

The embargo must have lifted and they can now report on the truth.

Anything above 1440p is a fucking waste of power.

so? it's 60 fps apparently
anyone who bought a series s isn't planning to play it on a big 4k screen anyway. it's all about the price value

>next gen
>720p
>S-SO WHAT?

It says it's dynamic resolution between 720p - 1440p, so I'd imagine it runs at a solid frame rate and I fail to see what the issue is for entry level hardware for next gen. If someone's getting an S, money is a big enough issue that they're not going to have the best of TVs to begin with, so they're not going to really notice a real dip in quality like your shitposting implies.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the S exists just to make sure the X has the best performance possible in that if it can run reasonably well on an S, it can run smoother and perform better overall on an X. It also sets the cost of entry to next gen lower to grab more people in for dat sweet Game Pass money. It's going to be the Switch all over again though, since games will be mandated to run on both the weaker version / handheld mode while not really being optimized most of the time to take advantage of the more powerful hardware that exists.

>It's going to be the Switch all over again
I hope so, homebrew master race here we come.

To be fair, it's already that in a sense because I remember Xbone had the deal where you paid like $15 for a dev license or something and you could install Retroarch and such on there with full support, so I'd imagine that carries over from the getgo to the SeX for those that paid the fee. Not sure it really allowed anything for game piracy of like actual console games, but who knows?

brazilian like typing detected. you don't care about resolution because you have a 2005 640x480 flatscreen monitor

So... this is the power of the most powerful console..

>720p
>Like the switch
Man, I must respect nintendo for scrapping Nvidia's scraps from the bargain bin and sell an overpriced 720p device, they had a 20/20 future sight with this, series S is actually a god send for the switch lol.

720p is not next gen

Xnigs BTFO

Tell that to the Switch and most graphic cards hindered by insufficient hardware layouts.

>I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the S exists just to make sure the X has the best performance possible in that if it can run reasonably well on an S, it can run smoother and perform better overall on an X.
I am totally okay with this is that means 720p60 minimum on every game, and then having increased resolution/graphics options for X (while still maintaining 60fps). Nobody should have to deal with 30fps ever again.

What resolution does the Switch play its games at?

dvi standards and 1920x1080 over 21 (twenty-one) years old now
five more years consoles can actually hit 1080, another 5 and they can do 1080 and 60fps

How long does the S's battery life last?

Power your dreams with full RDNA 2

hmmmmm I think I will pick pc.
