►What is King and Queen Zig Forums? A pair of yearly single elimination tournaments where anons decide their favorite male and female vidya characters.
Out of 128 characters, only 64 will move on to the next round. Vote in each match to decide who gets to survive!
►Rules >All characters must originate from a Zig Forums property (This includes Miss Pauling and Saxton Hale, who despite being from TF2 made their first appearances in the comics.) >Only 4 characters from each franchise may make it in. In the event of 5 or more nominated, the top 4 seeded are counted. >No real life politicians or caricatures of real life politicians (I’m sorry we can’t have COD Zombies JFK)
►FOTM Rule Characters must be from games at least one month old to participate, if the tournament nominations starts on November 10th, no characters that debuted after October 10th can participate.
►Elite 8 Rule The top 8 contestants from last year are retired for one year to allow for new characters to shine, with the winner being permanently retired.

Remember that if you're undecided, apathetic or ambivalent about a matchup, and there's a Nintendo character involved, to vote against the Nintendo character. Not telling you to not vote for Nintendo characters that you actually like or to universally vote against Nintendo, but Nintendo drones are a real thing and they don't play non-Nintendo video games. They will hijack this tournament if you let them. There are 31 Nintendo characters out of the field of 128. That's almost 1/4 of all the participants. In an absolutely worst case scenario, 28 Nintendo characters could advance to the next round, as there are only 3 inter-Nintendo matches in Round 1. 28 out of 64 which would be nearly half. This is only including first party Nintendo characters by the way. This is nothing against Nintendo or Nintendo fans, this is merely a warning. If (You) don't want this to become a Nintendo-only tournament, only (You) can stop it. When in doubt, vote against Nintendo. Salute.
