I ussually lurk Zig Forums and with recent events and the quality of the posts on this board having not just dropped now but having been dropping for a long time wish to have a fruitful discussion with everyone about how to solve the cultural decline of Zig Forums.
So I have decided to outline a list of thoughts off the top of my head of how we can improve the quality of discussion on Zig Forums I hope I can get some helpful feedback.
1) Do not respond to bait threads or threads you do not agree with unless you are sure you have the mental energy to type out a good refutation in advance. 2) If you feel or think that it is important that you respond to a thread you do not like or think is bait, please do not forget to sage. 3) Learn how to sage before you attempt to sage. 4) If you are new to imageboards, 8ch or Zig Forums please do not actively post until you have lurked for atleast a year or so to get used to the board culture. 5) Learn the many tricks of shills and avoid acting like a shill yourself there are many screencaps from as far back as cuckchan about how to spot shills, organized shilling, baiting and how to respond to them 6) Discipline yourself in regards to information distribution and collection, name your saved screencaps properly and when screencaping do not edit or remove any information about the post number, time and date as well as if the poster is a tripfag. 7) Do not post pornographic content, it only distracts from proper discussion 8) If you come across things that distract you from properly engaging in discussion and it is not worth your time to respond to it, hide it. 9) An extension of 4 do not use lingo uncommonly used known to cause derailment or destruction of discussion over trivialities (eg. using normie instead of normalfag) 10) Leave religious discussion in religion threads, do not mention religion in a thread that does not have religion in it, no matter if your pagan, christian or some other philosophy or religion it is best for the consistency of discussion to not discuss religion unless it is the main focus of the thread. 11) Avoid semantics and focusing on one piece of what someone has wrote, if you are angry about 1 point someone makes but agree with other things, say so. 12) One should atleast have read Mein Kampf before one should discuss any topics related to Hitler or National Socialism.
I hope there can be discussion upon what I have outlined and further contributions others can make to self discipline ourselves in order to bring the quality of Zig Forums back to the days before the second exodus. Please forgive me for poor grammar/spelling.
