Researching the net at a high level is a very valuable skill set as most just use the basic search engines and have no comprehension as to how to cross reference, make lists, keep records to later use/reference, and so on. While most of us on here have degrees I would be surprised if many of us have truly benefited from them. Looking back I would say the biggest benefit, in terms of classes, were general education related such as critical thinking, history and a few others. Most balk at history as useless but it is a very good tool when considering different issues and comparing/contrasting with modern issues as many modern issues are similar to events that happened many times over throughout history.
Long story short, take a risk, what do you have to lose and just add a resume without your name or location and see what happens. You will get shit and be made fun of by some but who cares as you will also get advice and tips to help you land somewhere and may even get picked up as this forum is constantly visited by people of different professions. Life is all about taking chances at the right time and nutting up, biting your pride, saying fuck it and having the balls to ask for some assistance. So… get to work..
