Reddit is the last outlet available that will allow you to bring an unlimited arsenal of sockpuppets into battle and thaf alone is huge. It also offers a global reach for every comment (unlike Facebook) and its comment-thread-based, long form nature of communication makes it practically impossible to moderate via AI (unlike Twitter where 140 characters chops down any thought into nice bite-sized chunks of context that are far easier for AI to parse).

Remember, just because those participating in reddit comment threads are cucktacular bugpeople doesn't mean everyone reading them is similarly unreachable. It's the 3rd largest site on earth, there is a million-to-one ratio of eyeballs to actual posts being written. Ceding our space on that battlefield is exactly what (((they))) want us to do.
