vor dem Heldendenkmal gegenüber der Tribüne des Führers freigelassen hatte, drängt nun durch die Absperrungsketten der Polizei. Investigations are on going, but it appears that this had been a long time coming with the FPÖ getting some revenge for what the SPÖ did behind closed doors. The minister of the interior, Herbert Kickl, is the ideological and philosophical centerpiece of the freedom party and runs it with an iron fist. The Austrian minister of the interior is the commander of the police force, so he is probably the most powerful non-military man in the country. The security service was delegated to a different ministry (for terrorism prevention and protection of the constitution) and this lack of coordination probably allowed for Kickl's Operation Valkyrie to work out.
