Early European hunter-gatherers may have had dark-ish skin. We have sequenced their genes, and they all did have one of two alleles for basically pajeet-toned skin. Obviously that means nothing about their behavior and intelligence, but that's not how it's being played by the kikes.
Interestingly, ALL of these people seem to have been really close relatives with a recent common ancestor, since every sample has identical mtDNA. They also all had blue eyes, no exceptions that we've found so far.
This group was largely wiped out by the ~8,000 BC influx of early European farmers from the Near East. These people were basically the same as modern Sardinians, who most resemble them genetically today. These EEF people may have founded the Corded Ware culture in Neolithic Germany.
The last major influx (pre-Merkel, of course) was from the Eurasian Steppe, north of the Caspian Sea. These invaders annihilated the Corded Ware people, right down to the last gene, and brought horses and (maybe) Indo-European language to Europe.

If you'd seen the rest of the exhibit, you would know that that the rest of the reconstructions are white. For once, I believe this may have been unintentional, or a misunderstanding. The researchers probably just told the artist to give them a darker complexion, because they are swarthy like southern Europeans and had recently moved North, but they were not specific enough so the artist made them too brown. Considering the rest of the reconstructions, I don't believe this was malicious, and you're blowing this out of proportion. Of course, I could be wrong, but in this particular instance I think it's purely coincidental.

in the actual study the reasoning behind the darker colouration is that they only used a small portion of the known pigmentation genes to construct the tone. If you get past their paywall, they admit that this is not the actual tone of the man and their representation is limited by that fact.
