Idk, it's hard to tell when you're in an echochamber, but I think you might be onto something. There certainly also is a bigger leftist presence online. Five years ago, I would have never thought communists could have the numbers to raid comment sections and all that. Nowadays, when I see a reactionary article or video, and check the comments, to my satisfaction I notice a huge amount of socialists telling the guy to go to the gulag.

I see hammers & sickles, breadposting, and general lefty shit way more. In the past half a year or so, for instance, reddit has started to pretty regularly get content from LateStageCapitalism on the front of r/all. Sometimes stuff from r/soc even gets there.

I'm not nearly as certain about this though. Most places outside of certain subreddits and other sorts of circles have largely still remained to be right wing. Latestagecapitalism is viewed as a joke by everyone else on reddit for example.
Needless to say, people are still content with how things are. Anyone who posts any sort of left wing content gets voted down to oblivion and it seems like things are going over towards the right if anything.

The thing about reddit though is that even a slight minority opinion will get downvoted and disappear. And once a post gets traction the bots aren't going to try to suppress the post itself, but the comments on the post. Controlling the comments/discussion is the focus of COINTEL tactics. This has limited effects on socialist subs themselves because the mods make them safe spaces, but elsewhere on reddit there are shills fucking everywhere. The 2016 election made it clear just how saturated reddit is with bots trying to sway opinion by downvoting sense and upvoting muh common sense capitalist apologia. The fact that content like this is out there at all is huge.
