Managers rule, not capitalists?

The capitalist mode of production is coming to an end. But it is not being replaced by socialism. Instead, there is a new mode of production, based on a managerial class that has been forming in the last hundred years.

U.S. Treasury says first-quarter borrowing set record of $488 billion

usatoday.com/story/money/economy/2018/04/30/treasury-borrowing-set-record-488-billion/567166002/

I find this theory amusing because it demonstrates the high times we are living in, the idea that capitalism has been effectively managed will be completely destroyed in the coming years as capitalists (which includes managers who are it's highest ranking officials, much like military officers are high ranking military officials but not commanders themselves) burn the entire system down to save their own provincial wealth. The EU is the most notorious example of this, the EU has not been effectively managed - despite all the negative interest rates and stability mechanisms there are no Eurbonds and the whole system will die once the next recession hits. A recession America might force by introducing Tariffs on the German economy while Russia restricts gas supply due to Germany supporting NATO in Ukraine. Same for China, despite all the managing happening there the state companies are still zombies as the entire country simply becomes another busted asian tiger economy.

Capitalism will fail and managers will not be our friends in it's overthrow. They'll be the ones guarding the factories and the farms as the proles rush in to claim the means of production.

I don't get approval ratings. He's on the brink of a trade war that would hurt middle america, people are realizing that they're not reaping benefits of the tax plan, I had never seen so many disgruntled diehard Trump supports like after he announced the Syria bombing and despite all that his approval rating is rising.

...

It won't last for long. Going by the trends, this will likely be the peak before another scandal drags it back down again.

Trump still remains ridiculously unpopular. If anything, that 42% almost confirms a Democrat take over of the House.

Hide your trash cans and newspaper stands, the trust fund anarkiddies are coming.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (846x433, 659.77K)

...

What did he mean by this?

That's not suspicious at all.

Not surprising knowing how sheltered Zig Forums is.

Since WW2, the sitting President's party has always lost seats in the House and the amount they lose is tied to the President's popularity level. For example, Clinton had a 46% approval rating when the GOP had their historic take over in 1994. 2005, Bush was 38% when the Dems ended 12 years of GOP House rule. Obama was sitting at a 45% approval rating when the Republicans took over in 2010.

Even if Trump manages to get to 45% (tall order considering the trends), odds say that the GOP are going to face a devastating election year.

Mueller Has Dozens of Inquiries for Trump in Broad Quest on Russia Ties and Obstruction

nytimes.com/2018/04/30/us/politics/robert-mueller-questions-trump.html

I'm serious. It remains to be seen if Mueller questions Trump at all since Trump is on his side.

A happy end to May Day

Political analysts are already revising down their expectations for that 2018 Blue Wave. Democrats seem to be riding on the expectation that disliking Trump guarantees a Democrat vote (the same expectation which was supposed to result in President Hillary).

It's clear "We're not Trump, guys!" isn't as electorally motivating as the Dems seem to think it is.

Let's be real, there is no chance in hell that Democrats aren't going to win the senate.
There is also no chance in hell that they'll win the house.

To be fair trump is actively promoting moore tier politicians for the republican primaries so as long as enough win the dems might have a reasonable chance of coming out of the elections at a better place. I doubt they'll have majority in either house tho.

Reals: Democrats will manage to lose seats in house and senate. There is just no energy behind the Democrats, and being a midterm Republicans are going to come out stronger than Democrats who largely can't stand their own party.

If Democrats win seats, I'm calling vote rigging and narrative manufacture. There just isn't a thing to suggest that people are suddenly upset with Republicans now. The Republicans who don't like their party are largely upset because the party is not killing welfare enough, not wishing for moderation and muh bipartisanship. That is what sells to petit booj and their hangers-on.

I can't believe there are unironic Burnhamites in the 21st century

You can't be serious……..

Most people aren't actually upset with Trump, at least not ones in swing districts that will actually vote. Most people are retarded, though.

The Senate is a coin toss only because of Hietkamp and Manchin, who both have shittalked mainstream Dems (especially on gun control) enough Republicans are willing to cross for them.

I still think he will help the Dems win some seats in the mid-terms. I also think he´d be lousy up for re-election. He may end-up not being too bad a typical burger president but stilll, everybody had to deal with so much shit coming out of his White House, we´ll all end up exhausted.

Florida has a decent chance of voting dem because of how many pissed of Puerto Ricans had to go there after how badly trump handled his Katrina.

This too, my god!

Not to rain on the parade or anything. But even though Puerto Ricans are US citizens unless they are registered to vote in the county where they are living they might not be able to vote. Southern states are notorious for this type of gerrymandering

It all comes down to trade. If Trump can hit all the protectionist notes he needs to in September and October he's gold.

PRs who are mad at his response to the hurricane live in PR, who cannot vote in Presidential elections. PRs in America are classcucks who workship hard work and hate leftists like their Cuban friends (whom they are lumped in with because Americans can't tell the difference) are.

Also the more support they show Trump the higher likiehood PR actually becomes a state within the next decade, a situation most PRs who can afford flights to Florida want because it means PR won't go bankrupt as DC would step in to assume all their debts.

They're still outperforming the Republicans. In the recent Arizona special election, GOP Debbie Lesko only won by 6 points in a district Trump carried by 20+. Like Pennsylvania, the RNC dumped millions into that race while the DNC didn't spend a dime.

From the looks of it, the GOP are going to be spending an insane amount of cash this midterm trying to get their base out to vote.

WUT?

The Dems are more likely to take the House since they only need 24 seats to control it. The Senate is where the real challenge lies.

meant for:

because the RNC is retarded and actually think Trump is a liability rather than their biggest asset. This isn't to defend Trump but he knows how to promote, this skill will become more useful once races turn from individual special elections to broad general elections. Reference this article done from a former Cruz campaigner after he admitted defeat:

weeklystandard.com/what-trump-saw-and-cruz-did-not/article/2002126

I don't think that's very likely. Trump doesn't know what the fuck he wants with these trade disputes.

Unless the Democrats plan to run literal clones of Hillary Clinton for every election, "Trump magic" is useless bullshit that does more harm than good.

No
Actually, yeah, Hawaii 2.0

Name one thing that Republicans have done recently that has pissed off their base and the petit booj, that is different from what they were doing in 2016. "But Trump" isn't a thing, because Trumpism is what their base likes to hear… they pulled the same shit with Ronnie Raygun, and besides Republicans did well enough in a presidential election with Trump. (Trump was their best chance of capturing votes anyway, it wasn't like the voters were going to be happy with yet another milquetoast conservative, or worse yet a fucking Bush.)

In order to believe Democrats have gains to make, you'd have to assume the absence of Trump is going to somehow make the Republicans weaker, but even then, even if the voters aren't excited by conservatism, they're at least willing to support it against whatever monstrosity the Democrats are today.

I really, really don't understand where the Democratic triumphalism comes from. Democrats have been getting their asses kicked for the last 8 years, and the last time Democrats made gains there was a damn good reason why (and Democrats managed to fuck it up, so no one is making that error again, especially when the Democrats keep insisting Obama dindu nothing wrong.)

That's what most of their candidates are. Aging white neoliberals or screeching SJW neoliberals. They are hard up for other flavors, and this fact will become more obvious the closer we get to November.

Case in point: California's Gubernatorial election. While a shoo-in for Democrats their leading candidate is Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom who is basically America's Trudeau. While he'd probably still win (depends entirely if a Republican makes it to the runoff and/or pensions get mentioned during debates) he perfectly demonstrates the modern Democratic party: white and for the rich. As SF Mayor Newsom's policy was largely stopping transit projects from happening in white areas and stopping zoning from happening in white areas, policies that are essentially Republican. Most Democrats know this, especially urban ones in districts that comprise the bulk of the Dem base, and will depress turnout. He is indicative of a larger rot, one which will cost Democrats seats in more competitive districts.

If PR declares bankruptcy as a state the US government is obligated to step in and medicate the bankruptcy proceedings, effectively backing all the investors who own the debt. This is how Detroit's bankruptcy went down but vis-a-vis the state of Michigan. As part of the deal most of Detroit's pensions were raided to pay creditors, and this is why morale is low amongst their remaining police force. DC as a whole will happily do the same to Puerto Rico.

Looking over the history over overall presidential approval ratings. It just seems like April-May is just a time where presidents tend to be viewed more positively than normal. It's just a weird fluke in the season, I bet.

Attached: Aol.jpg (1042x1042, 184.86K)

as if republicans don't do the same systematically? I have no love for the democrats but you strike me as some kind of Zig Forumsack trying to dress up his opinions in the clothing of leftist analysis. you betray some kind of bizarre admiration of republicans it seems

Fug, I really hate Puelto Lico now

but no lad, the raid in PR will be brutal I would almost believe even rainwater will be privatized as it once was in Bolivia. It will en up a circle of bourgie beach hotels while all the proles get concentrated in the slums-

That is literally what is happening with the fiscal board imposed by DC, they effectively mandate the local gov into implementing more severe neoliberal policies of austerity and privatization

This is already happening, the big construction boom will come once realestate drops as low as it can

This, theyre despicable gusanos without the affluence of the Cubans that preceded them. Although calling PR's and Cubans friends is a stretch
