1919 world sim

Found this on /marx/, theres about 80 people involved so far and the game hasnt even started yet

Seems like a game tailor made for Zig Forums. People have reserved Lenin, Makhno, Trotsky, Stalin and lots more.

You forgot your name in the name field, Ismail.

It MUST be Ismail, because he's literally the only person on Zig Forums with an interest in the USSR.

what would be good lefty roles to play as in this game?

Gramsci
Debs
Li Dazhao

A Debs player would probably be pretty boring. See picture.

Attached: Debs-mugshot.jpg (193x300, 11.28K)

when will it start?

ROSA

Can I be the guy that secretly sucked off Lenin?

Gonna be a short game for you homie.

Durruti
Tito

Post pics first.

Mao?

someone already picked rosa

wouldn't mao be pretty irrelevant in a 1919 game?

You mean Inessa Armand?

Ismail, make me Kirov
plz don't let me die Stalin

He was relevant. He was involved in the May Fourth Movement and became a leading leftist in the Hunan province. He contemplated going to Russia in 1920 and was a founder of the Communist Party of China a year after that.

Not if she finds a better hiding place

What's taken?

Subcomandante Marcos

Le ebin online larp

Wasn't even born at that time.
Go with the original Zapatista.

Was he a leftist?

this

Zapata was a leading figure in the Mexican Revolution of the 1910s. He led a peasant rebellion in central Mexico against the landlords and oligarchs.

Yes it is a role-playing game you found the forum out good job.

The forum actually had a whole game centered on the Mexican Revolution a last year (Ismail didn't GM it tho): eregime.org/forum/124038/

Zapata thought the Russian Revolution was a good thing. Sounds pretty lefty.

...

It's an online role playing game. If you don't want to play, don't play.

What are you playing as?

I'm not playing. I study full time and work. To relax I play a match of csgo, boardgames and pen and paper RPGs. I think forum rpgs are fun and when I was younger I participated in several Star Trek forum RPGs and ran one myself for a while. It seemed to be all the rage back in 2005. I also played a Star Trek live chat RPG too.

This one seems very interesting and I wish I had time to invest in it and play properly. If I change my mind I'd probably choose some small (island) nation and try to build socialism there.

you have a black flag here and you don't know who Zapata is? what?

Don't forget Sandino.

Attached: sandino-flag.jpg (526x406, 56.22K)

what

What was Sandino's ideology?

...

I bet both of them are Ismail.

fuckin' and truckin'

You could join the forum and ask Ismail to give you access to the 1919 lefty forum areas where we talk about how to turn the ingame world red. You could spectate or just pick a gimmick role (like Lenin's wife) and give suggestions to other lefty players.

...

...

Zapata died in 1919. By this point he is objectively fucked.

a forum

reported for anticommunist propaganda

this would be a neat game if set as a mission for Arma 3
the LARP would be glorious

TBF Stalin kinda did it with Malenkov, although I don't think that was so much appointing a successor as "oh shit I don't like anyone".

What's open?

Anything not taken in this thread: eregime.org/topic/9147255/1/

someone has now chosen Zapata in the game.

Has anyone chosen Soong Ching-Ling or the left part of the Kuomintang?

Attached: Soong_Ching-ling_and_Ho_Chi_Minh.jpg (1002x699, 247.59K)

No.

I think Liao Zhongkai or even Wang Jingwei would be more important politically than Soong though.

...

...

And one of his last letters

He did not literally say "I hereby want Trotsky to take over all my duties" but he clearly did not want Stalin.

Either the game will be over in minutes because simply everyone would pick to play as Bolshies / Red Finns / Hungarian Soviet / Sparticists etc
Or it would just devolve into shitpost with Everyone playing as the German NazBol Faction / Freikorps (Insert SocDem gang meme) / White Army etc

Even if true literally so what?
Federative Russian Soviet REPUBLIC

Just because he was the leader at the time dosent man he should get to dictate who follows him after he leaves office / dies

The Troika (Stalin, Zinoviev, Kamenev) hid Lenin's words about Stalin from the 13th Congress and Lenin's letters were not published in full until after Stalin died.

Even if that did happen that dosent change the point
An individuals personal opinion on another individual should not dictate who or who does not get elected to a position of leadership
Much less a dead individual who obviously is not living to observe the current situation

It did happen. What makes you deny it?

What was (and when was) the "current situation"? Lenin wrote that Stalin should be removed from his post. What drastic changes happened between him writing those words and the moment he died?

The situation after his death
It wasnt Lenin's job to decide who was put in power or booted from it

How was it different from when he wrote his words about Stalin?

Nobody argued it was. But Lenin's warning wasn't followed. Lenin was already criticizing Stalin's bureaucratic handling of things, and by the end of the decade Stalin made it his own job "to decide who was put in power or booted from it".
