western values are not tied to a specific race, after all a good fucking half of it is attributed to greeks instead of whites
this is just me bullshitting but I would say its a tradition of logic, diplomacy, meritocracy, and respect for life that you dont always see outside the west
for example all of the countries we think of as west today almost universally have a higher standard of living then non-western countries with similar GDP and political sway, non western countries have a sort of nonchalant uncaring attitude for themselves and their fellows that I have trouble wrapping my head around
I am going to list some western ideas, these are not necessarily unique to the west but important to it, so you may find them elsewhere as well
human rights are a western idea
a citizens rebellion (as opposed to a military coup or a holy war) is a western idea
democracy is a western idea
private property is a western idea
the struggle for an ideal version of yourself is a western ideal for better or worse

There is absolutely no reason to believe European Muslims in a century won't be as secular as European Christians today. Muslim teens in our day have largely abandoned mosque attendance and prohibition of alcohol consumption in the span of a generation or two. American Muslims were recently show in a survey to be more accepting of homosexuality than American evangelicals. Just because your retarded country's even more retarded Bible Belt are still as backwards as talibans in 2018 doesn't mean Muslims aren't actually evolving.

you can't say anything about "paganism" though. It's not even a religion, it's just an umbrella term for all non-christian European religions. There were huge fundamental differences between, say the norse, the roman and the slavic belief system. All they had in common is the polytheistic nature, and religious sacrifice. But even the aztecs and some african religions have/had these.

But that is essentially what I love about "Paganism". There is such a vast amount of beliefs and religious practices that they cannot be easily condensed. Cultures can find parts of their own religious beliefs in others, as, for example, the Romans did when they conquered new territory. Or they could outright incorporate other deities within their own Pantheons, Isis being a significant example.

Polytheism in general is just massively more interesting to me. It allows so much cultural exchange and communication that you otherwise would be unable to see. It also marks a period of time that is absolutely fascinating to me (Classical Antiquity), where art and culture revolved around the glorification of nature and natural forms.

Christianity, on the other hand, doesn't care for other religions and would rather see them stamped out and replaced by itself. Polytheism promotes difference and tolerance, in this regard. Even nowadays, the most interesting aspects of Christianity are within its different sects and Saint/Angel-Worship.

In Interbellum Germany 'the West' was deemed as the commercialized Anglo-American sphere with no real culture and individualism which Germany should reject btw.
