I believe what he said about KGB contingency plans for India going Red.

You're incredibly gullible if you believe him.

If you are a believer, though, please contact me. I have some lovely beachfront property I think you'll be interested in.

He basically used all the fairytales made up during the red scare to make a quick buck by telling people what they wanted to hear.

very skeptical
even if everything he said was true about soviet strategy for undermining indian society (he was based in India), it would be of no relevance for undermining the societies of developed countries.

pretty sure this quote is fake

based nazbol gang

It could be; I mean Solzhenshitsyn is required reading in Russian schools

The thoughts on how propaganda and reeducation are reasonable enough, but it didn't happen to or in the US as he say it do

Just another slav playing dumb burgers for every penny they are worth. It was well-known among Soviet exiles that the more opresshun stories you can think up, the more gibs you get; Soviet immigrants to the US were well-known as the rampant abusers of welfare during the Cold War. The FBI looked the other way as the Russian mafia ripped the American public off for billions in the 1980s because they thought they were getting great info out of them. Turns out a lot of the info was trash and the Russian mafia, supposedly composed of anti-communist freedom fighters/dissidents, had no problem doing deals with the Soviet nomenklatura.

With "whistleblowers" and "defectors" like Yuri, the more sensationalist you make your stories, the more you can cash in. Soviet defectors were well-known for pushing unverifiable and wild conspiracy theories that even the CIA would have to publicly disavow every now and then. One prominent defector theory was that there were no splits in the communist world–everyone was putting on a show of fighting in public and working in unison against the West in secret. Another came from the defecting head of Romanian intelligence said that "everyone knew" that the KGB
had killed Kennedy. Stories about the Soviets being able to best America militarily in every way abounded.

The belief that there had been no "collapse" of communism but in fact the communist world only put on a show in order to keep lull the West into complacency is another defector theory.

lmao

My guess is a play on communialism

Putin is a KGB officer and has no reason to tell the truth about the ussr, especially post-stalin period.

You will only hear *muh imperialistic lies* here.

What did he say about this? Sounds interesting.

I still believe Korea is playing the long con. This north and south charade was the best strategy to get both Samsung Galaxies and Nuclear warheads in the same nation. What other nation besides America and UK make globally competitive consumer products and nuclear warheads?

Honestly though, it's not like we haven't been warned.

Homefront is set in a dystopic United States, in the year 2027. The game's backstory dates back to the 2010s, where there are high tensions between North Korea and the global powers due to the country's military aggression, including its successful nuclear weapons test and the sinking of a South Korean ship.[5]

In the year 2013 however, one year after the death of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-il, his son and successor, Kim Jong-un, reunites the two Koreas to form the Greater Korean Republic (GKR), a technological and economic global power that comprises the military strength of the North and the economic power of the South. By the year 2015, a war between Iran and Saudi Arabia, both becoming nuclear-armed states, devastated the global oil supply, causing gas prices to skyrocket to $19.99 per gallon,[5] leaving many countries in debt and causing mass hysteria. This precipitates extreme economic turmoil and massive social unrest in the United States. Subsequently, in 2017, the U.S. military recalls much of its overseas presence, particularly in the Pacific. A year later, Japan, significantly weakened due to the diminishing of the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty, is easily conquered by the GKR and is annexed shortly thereafter, becoming the first GKR puppet state.[5]

In 2022, conditions in the United States get worse with the collapse of the financial system and an Asian bird flu epidemic that claims six million lives, forcing the Mexican government to quarantine the country by setting up immigration quotas as the Asian bird flu continues throughout the United States. By 2024, Korea's annexation has continued throughout Southeast Asia, including its emerging economic powers, giving the GKR an empire reminiscent of Imperial Japan.[5] Finally, in 2025, the Greater Korean Republic, now a major superpower, launched a supposed advanced GPS satellite that would be a signal of peace, but is actually a secret orbital weapon that detonated a high-altitude nuclear device over the U.S., creating an EMP blast that wipes out much of the nation's electrical infrastructure. In the ensuing chaos, the Korean People's Army (KPA) launches an instant amphibious invasion, starting the Korean-American War. They seize control of Hawaii and much of the U.S. Pacific Coast. Korean paratroopers are deployed over the Midwestern United States, and with the U.S. military severely crippled and scattered, launches a final offensive to take control of the remaining states. However, the Americans were able to counterattack, leaving the Eastern States free and effectively dividing the nation at the irradiated Mississippi River, with the Western States under GKR occupation, known as the "New Korean Federation of Occupied America", a puppet state of the GKR.[5]

nice fantasy

Until it happens exactly as predicted. Smart Americans are jumping ship early.

And we haven't even begun talking about K-Pop. The Koreans are winning the war on multitudes of levels.

Do you honestly think the K-Pop zombies of America would be able to shoot these people even if they invaded their country?
