Satellite images show North Korea upgrading nuclear research facility: report
Satellite images from last week show that North Korea is making numerous improvements to the infrastructure at a nuclear research facility, according to a new study.
The images, obtained by North Korea analysis outlet 38 North, come just weeks after President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed an agreement that called for a denuclearized Korean Peninsula.
The satellite photos indicate that North Korea is quickly progressing on several adjustments to the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center.
The improvements include a new cooling water pump house, multiple new buildings, completed construction on a cooling water reservoir and an apparently active radiochemical laboratory. It is unclear whether the reactor is still in operation, the report said.
38 North notes that North Korean nuclear officials are expected to proceed with “business as usual” until Kim orders official changes to procedure.
I never really expected NK to denuclearize. Everything that's happened so far only confirms that nuclear weapons is the road to power for relatively weak countries such as Best Korea.
1. USA stops ignoring your diplomatic overtoures 2. USA halts military exercises outside your doorstep 3. Everyone wants to meet Kim 4. Nobody dares to invade Best Korea
Pursuing nuclear weaponry has paid off massively for North Korea - actually giving them up would be crazy. Kim played Trump like a fiddle (or Trump just didn't give a fuck and is hoping this deal will postpone the problem beyond his term).
The question is how other countries will respond to this. The U.S. pretty much conceded defeat in face of a pariah state just because it had nukes, so countries like Iran will definitely be tempted now.
this is what ML can do with a small divided nation under sanctions and the threat of an extermination war where are your nuclear powers getting the most miltaristic imperialists to bend their knee?

I don't believe anything based on this.

nukes will eventually have a anti-weapon that counters it reliably, so in the long term their best bet might be to get high tech industry that uses those mineral deposits they have at home that way porky has a dependency, the trick here will be to just let in the tech

They are probably enriching whatever uranium that's left to sell it to the Chinese before completing the denuclearization.

North Korea has increased nuclear fuel production at secret sites, US officials say
North Korea has increased its production of fuel for nuclear weapons in recent months, US intelligence agencies believe, despite Donald Trump’s claims “there is no longer a nuclear threat” from the secretive state.
Pyongyang may be trying to hide its activities at multiple secret sites while seeking concessions in nuclear talks with the US, NBC News quoted US officials as saying.
It comes after Mr Trump claimed success in his unprecedented 12 June meeting with Kim Jong-un, the North Korean dictator, over denuclearisation.
In a report on Friday, NBC said what it described as the latest US intelligence assessment appeared to go counter to sentiments expressed by Mr Trump.
The network quoted five unidentified US officials as saying that in recent months North Korea had stepped up production of enriched uranium for nuclear weapons, even as it engaged in diplomacy with the US.
It cited US officials as saying that the intelligence assessment concludes that North Korea has more than one secret nuclear site in addition to its known nuclear fuel production facility at Yongbyon.
Sorry but, how is this foto proof of anything? Don't you hace some work or article or something?Maybe even some declaration by a top NK official?

I sure hope so. If North Korea was the beacon of Marx/Lenin thought, then no sensible person would want anything to do with it.
Not real socialism.

Oh that is cool, but has ever KMJ mentioned Marxism? And why did they take out Marx, pictures statues and such, and no longer talk about him or any ML figure in their public releases?

This story was written by a well-known CIA stenographer. Apparently this is not a big deal among journalists. It's really strange and worrying that, in the last few years especially, acting as a mouthpiece for secret government agencies has actually ELEVATED your status as a reporter and become the kind of model for journalism.

Also they are not violating any terms of any agreed upon peace framework, and the intelligence leaked to the press was in fact from pre-summit!

It was reported that they removed a Marx and Lenin statue from Kim Il Sung Square, but those statues never actually existed. They did actually remove the Marx portrait and the Lenin portrait from that square for unspecified reasons.
