No, it isn't. "Sir" implies a level of respect, and asserts authority over another, so refusing to call someone that is simply rejecting this. He/she is simply a pronoun, not a title. This is how they view themselves. Gender is an important part of someone's identity, whereas titles are meaningless. Refuse to call someone sir, and they might get pissed off. Properly gendering someone is not subjecting oneself to their will, it's just being a decent person. Referring to a transgender person as their preferred pronoun isn't difficult AT ALL, and refusing to do so serves no purpose other than being a dick. Additionally, intentionally calling someone by their previous pronoun can increase feelings of gender dysphoria, so not only are you being a dick, you are alienating them and intentionally putting them in emotional distress.
