If you care more about that then their actual platform you are a retard.

Seems to be an odd coincidence with a lot of socialists being rich kids.

I see the right-wing press is really dogging on even the most mildest of succdems.
And they say that left-wingers control the media.

...

Spoken like a true rich kid.

DAMAGE CONTROL!

What is there to damage control?
I'm not the privilege checking lifestylist apparently you are

Okay.

petite-bourgeois refers to one who owns means of production yet must still sell their labor. It's not a category based on how much wealth you have. In an extreme and unlikely case, a person earning 100 million out of their salary is proletarian (as long as they don't invest that money in MOP) while a small business owner worth 10 million is petite bourgeois.

I don't hate the petty bourgeoisie, I just recognize that their interests are opposed to my own. However if any of them grow a conscience and decide to oppose their own selfish interests for the good of the majority then why would I not accept them?

wew

When you campaign as muh poor kid from the Bronx and it turns out you were never poor, were middle class, and your main connection with the Bronx is that your father commuted there, it sort of makes you a liar.

…and you support them as soon as they claim to be poor. Likely because you yourself were never poor.

She owned a pretty nice home in a rich neighborhood. She's not poor. She was never poor.

Holy shit, that is some MAJOR cognitive dissonance.

I too used to live in one of the richest counties in the country. In a trailer park down the road from a McMansion development. A few ultra rich people driving up the average wealth of the county did not make my family less poor.

There are 2 kinds of people; The rich & the poor
That means poor capitalists exists.

Also
What does she owns? How un-dialectical of you.

If I were to support Cortez, or anybody else, then it would be because I like their politics and their platform, and absolutely nothing to do with their personal lives. I know you are desperately trying to scrape a "gotcha" out of this, but the fact is that most of us just don't care whether she is petty bourg or not.

How dare a rich person helps the lower class.
I don't think she mentioned that she was poor.

According to you, in order to be a socialist, you have to be poor first. That's stupid.

She was born in the bronx, tho.
Also, idgaf how long she lived there tbh.
Most poor people move out of there in order to give there kids a better education. But you know, keep privilege checking like a tumblrite

Are things that bad in America?

Fox news unironically ran a story claiming that poor people aren't really poor because they owned such extravagant luxuries as mircowaves and TVs.

The right is so fucking cucked…

Hah, yeh she can't be one of us. Look at that fucking mansion.

And this cunt isn't one of them.

She isn't helping jack shit. She's trying to get a government position so she can have free cash and a government pension.

You're right. If you had to be poor to be a socialist, we'd hardly have any socialists.

Most poor people don't have enough money to move anywhere to give their kids a "better education."

I grew up in a shitty apartment in the middle of niggerville. Neither me nor my family ever owned anything substantial, much less a house and a plot of land, until I was in my 20s. That's a pretty fucking decent house to grow up in. She's not, nor has she ever been, poor.

Economic mobility means that occasionally one or two do.

That's just not how it works.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (644x644, 879.74K)

Betting my watch that it was not a rich neighborhood when her parents bought the house.

...

"Economic mobility" my ass. Her father had a professional job; he's an architect. She's not poor.

Clearly, given all the rich kid socialists I've seen.

Also, her father died during the recession, so it would make sense if their income was extremely volatile.

…doesn't change the fact that she was never poor, and she's just using the lie of "I was poor!" to gain votes so she can get a cushy government job and a pension.

Do you think the hispanics who voted for another pro-open borders hispanic care? I don't understand why this matters.

When you're talking to people that can't figure out how income volatility and economic mobility work, it does require explanation. There probably was a point where she would have qualified as middle class between the point her father was able to afford a home outside of the Bronx and before her father died, but after his death it's doubtful. It's hilarious how the right becomes so cynical about the "bootstraps" meme the minute it's a socialist that gets lucky, though.

That "point" was from the moment she was born until today. However, you may be right. She may not qualify as "middle class" in the future. Thanks to government corruption, she'll probably end up being very upper class in the future.

Wanna know how I know you've got money?

We should have a sticky or something to explain basic marxist class terms. It would really help these summer-friends out.

I make $12.50 an hour and live in an apartment. If I saw a house like that, the first thing that would pop into my mind wouldn't be "wealth", it looks like one of the shitty houses that were built around the textile mill when it was still open. Some of those houses are worth a pretty penny now because of gentrification, but certainly not when they were built.

Are you retarded? That's literally the definition. We don't care about "the 1%" or whatever. We're not liberals. Petite-bourgeois, bourgeois, are social classes. They help us understand who controls what in society. A person who owns a business or is a landlord has considerably more economic influence than a well-off person who doesn't own any MOP.

proof?
She was living in the Bronx till she was 5.
And if her father died, how did she stay middle class without his income?

You mean her dad commuted to the Bronx until she was 5?

Its not about rich vs non-rich you fucking idiot.

You could at least google her history. She lived in an apartment till she was 5.

*apartment in the bronx

Well given that she's pretty fucking well off and doesn't give two shits about the average working class person, I'd say it's pretty clear which side she's on.

1. You can be from a rich family and advocate for any ideology that you want. Nothing wrong with this. In fact, you want as many rich people on your side as possible.

2. Cortez is a lying retarded cunt. She shouldn't have lied about her background just to get the low-class vote
