We should make this a muskhategeneral, so I'm gonna post some juicy articles about him.

marketwatch.com/story/nlrb-alleges-elon-musk-coerced-tesla-workers-against-forming-union-report-2018-07-12

Oh no, I'm super-rich but I slept on a couch in a factory a couple times… woe is me… the horror, the horror…

Sleeping on a factory floor is pretty nice of a gesture. It gets hard to hate this guy sometimes even if i hate the rich in general.

...

Musk is an obnoxious Redditer, and is just generally a hugely naive person, but I hate his personality cult more than I hate him.

Reminds me of when I was 8 and I hit my friend in the face and felt so bad I hit myself in the face and got a nosebleed. I was really mad at him after.

teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/elon-musk-vs-short-sellers.118431/

How does it feel to be pawns of the international capitalist elite?

I've got an innovative new technology to help Musk out with this venture.

You're a funny dude

They also orchestrated a similar attack on solarcity

lol you're an utter baboon if you think musk will be the ford of electric vehicles. He makes no profit and will wither within the year

This isn't about musk you retard, this is about the viability of electrical vehicles n. If these guys destroy Tesla, they'll essentially be sending a message to would be electric car e treprenrurs and car companies that if they threaten their monopoly on oil and all the other legacy industries that are vulnerable to mass transport electrification, then they'll send out their wolves in wall street and in the corporate media against them. Legacy auto companies are don't even want to move to electric because it fucks up their whole business model, that's why they're been slow to match Tesla. Electrification has the potential to disrupt so many multi-billion dollar legacy industries, you don't think these aging Titans of industry would fight against progress if it meant a becoming obsolete?

Nigger, electric cars still rely on oil, gas, and coal for the vast majority of their power needs. Also the amount of lithium and rare earth metals required to create these cars are limited and the cost of mining these materials ruins the environment. There isn't enough rare earth metal to be mined profitably for every ship, car, and train to be changed to a battery powered model and the technology increase in efficient is not moving fast enough to compensate. And I guess electric cars are so anti-establishment that every major car company is planning to release electric cars and is projected to overtake Tesla by 2021, leaving it no. 9?

investopedia.com/news/german-ecarmakers-will-beat-tesla-2021-study/

Electric cars are so disruptive that fucking oil companies are investing in it?

You're full of shit my dude

Must is a con artist, a skillful PR expert.
he's selling himself. i don't think anything he says is genuine.

Every time I see a picture or hear of Elon Musk, my temptation to painfully kill him becomes ever more severe. It used to be a simple fist-mangling, then a clean bullet to his head… Now I think I'd give him the full jigsaw treatment if I'd get my hands on him, and I'm afraid one "Musk" is no longer enough to squelch my thirst. Several other bourgies are gonna take his place once he inevitably expires.
I think I'll cook what's left of him and chomp him down my throat, having ground up his bones, too. You see, simply shitting on him is no longer enough for me. I've got to shit him, for me he's got to be transformed into the pile of shit that he really is.
And if I don't take that responsibility, who will?

Attached: ogadrinking.png (936x722, 509.67K)

Why should we concern ourselves with the internal squabbles of porkies? Musk is a cunt, the fact that the oil industry are also cunts doesn’t make him less of a cunt.

Oil companies are investing in electriccaqrs to hedge their bets. But even in the case that we have an accelerated adoption of electric vehicles, big oil will stand to lose trillions. Those meagre investments in boutique battery firms won't negate their loses and they know this which is why they're pushing against electric cars.

You're other arguments about the fact that current t electrical generation still uses fossil fuels is short sighted. With the economics of solar, wind and other renewable energies improving near exponentially n, they'll eventually be a time when atleast half of the bulk of electric grid will depend on non fossil fuel alternatives. Oil isn't used in electrical generation in most countries, except where oil is plentiful like in Saudi Arabia, so big oil still has a lot to lose in this scenario, even barring the green revolution. Coal use is also dropping. The production of Batteries are still less dirty than oil extraction, and is reusable. With innovation in solid state batteries and other lion alternatives, it'll get even cleaner.

Wheres that pic from?

Lithium batteries isn't exactly amazingly environmentally friendly or renewable either. Nor is the downfall of Tesla will not necessarily bring down electric cars since Big Oil will slowly transit to other energy sources.

Dunno, but a quick search revealed the following:

Attached: mn.jpg (951x500, 86.99K)

Why isn't Big Oil going after Toyota, BMW, GM, or all of the other car companies which have the capacity(unlike tesla) and the plans to produce multitudes of more cars at much lower cost than Tesla? Big Oil invests billions in green tech and will likely be the major supplier of electricity in the future regardless. No need to defend a shitty luxury car company when everyone's going electric regardless. Its not like they'll stop making electric vehicles when Tesla collapses

You are so obsessed with bringing down musk that you cant even see the big picture. Right now, Tesla is the car industries best hope of proving the viability of electric cars, and in the mid to long term, the viability off decentralised energy network, enabled by cheap battery and solar enabled energy independence for the average Joe, which will free the common folk from the clutches of monopolist price gouging utilities and big fossil fuel. Whatever you think musk is, there's no doubt he, or at least his companies are disrupters. Not all porkies are created equal. Is it really smart to attack a do called porky I who's undermining the business model and power o even more exploitative and destructive porkies?

That's not even true. Every major car manufacturer is working on electric car models and is far more efficient than Tesla. The Nissan Leaf is the best selling all-electric car to date.

If you said short term I might agree so I stopped reading

Because Tesla is most vulnerable right now. Also Toyota has pushed their electrification plans to 2030, GM isn't really committed to electric cars. Volkswagen is probably the only other car company serious about electrification. Tesla also has an advantage in that they're well positioned to take advantage of decentralised grid tech, with their acquisition of solar city and the fact that theyll have two gigafactories running by the time Volkswagen have their first electric car factory.

SUPPORT MUSK IN HIS ANTI-IMPERIALISTIC STRUGGLE AGAINST TOYOTA

Those other companies dont need gigafactories. Like a poster above said, the nissan leaf is the electric car with the highest sales. The Chevy bolt has sold far more than the Model 3. Also you need to realize that even if Tesla collapses, the infrastructure they amassed wont just dissappear. Some other company will come up and buy them for cheap and resume production. I think you bought into Elon Musk's bullshit. With or without Musk, other car manufacturers were planning to create electric vehicles and said that a mass market car could be produced by 2016….and they were right. There is no conspiracy towards Tesla, in fact theres a conspiracy perpetuated by Tesla which puts out lofty goals it cant accomplish and literally shits on workers and critical testing in order to deliver a measly 5000cars/week….which other manufacturers have no problem delivering.

businessinsider.com/tesla-workers-were-reportedly-ordered-to-walk-through-raw-sewage-2018-7

businessinsider.com/tesla-elon-musk-orders-engineers-to-stop-brake-and-roll-testing-2018-6

Should have called it a kilofactory.

2584257
With the exception of Volkswagen, most other car companies see electric cars as a minor side project. For example, the leaf and the volt dont even have cooling systems like Tesla's, which means batteries in those cars will have degradation rates 4 times worse than model 3. Who the hell is going to buy a car with an operating life of ten years at best, and will have a non existent resale value?

The bolt will likely only lose 10% of its battery capacity after 100K miles, like that of Tesla. Its a non issue.

greencarreports.com/news/1107751_2017-chevy-bolt-ev-10-to-40-percent-battery-capacity-loss-possible-but-unlikely

Tesla isn't that special anymore.

You need a large factory devoted to making batteries to achieve economics of scale in order to reduce battery prices and meet the demand for batteries as Gary become more ubiquituos. GM are relying on third parties to make their batteries, which is partly why the bolt isn't making them any money. It's why anyone serious about electric cars are planning to build their own gigafactories

Nope, they have a long way to catch up to Tesla. They've only made one unprofitable electric car. They'll need to adjust their whole business model to be where Tesla is today. Remember, GM makes a bulk of their profit from servicing their cars enabled by the car dealership business model. Electric drive trains are a whole different beast, and won't need much servicing .

As opposed to Tesla whose entire company is massively unprofitable. And not to mention, its not uncommon for an established manufacturer to lose money in their first version of a vehicle. You're also not tackling the fact that multiple companies have purchased significant amount of Tesla stock. If it collapses due to its incredibly shitty management practices, capitalists will make sure the gigafactory wont go to waste as almost did.

Protecting a porky is not a good look for a leftist.

Is this the power of the “Protestant Work Ethic”

So what is capital even? Kings are slaves kingdoms? All of these dudes could retire beyond comfortable anytime they wish but the same doesn't hold true for workers so it's not even remotely the same thing.

stupid, unmaterialist and vaguely imperialist
china will be king of electricity

even though capitalists are slaves they should be punished as willing accomplices.

What does capital mean to you(the poster I was replying to you)? Does this clarify my statement?

Why do you all cherry-pick and willfully misinterpret a handful of words from a post instead of reading the context. I have a feeling this is the level of understanding you have of everything you read.

Are you even the poster I was replying to in the first place?

Porky isn't having his surplus value stolen though.

It's all a pyramid scheme. Everyone's getting there shit stolen to some degree depending how close they are to the top even if they've made it to the porky tier.

Lol no, either your labor produces value or it doesn't. Waddling into a bank to borrow the money you need to buy the MoP isn't labor.

he is however subsuming his existence as a human being to the inhuman task of obtaining surplus value

Well if its such a burden he can just hand over his equity to the workers

Sure but it's an ever decreasing amount of labor spend per reward gained the higher you go up the food chain. Workers>Managers>Executives>Investors>Bankers etc.

Tesla is unprofitable because theyre reinvesting all their profits in expanding the company and the supercharger networks. Most of their cars have profit margins beyond 15 percent .Whilst GM are losing money on every Bolt they made because they rely on third parties to make their components. They dont even have a supercharger network .

That is exactly how you get ahead. You get the same outcome for cheaper, with a safer investment, and then you sell you stuff for cheaper

So drafting/slipstream theory. Interesting. I was just trying to rustle his jimmies. You still have to pull into the lead eventually to be in the lead though. I was just trying to rustle his feathers a little. Even one of the articles he posted is calling this amazing car companies that is "taking the world by storm" calls it the "Chinese Tesla."

I'm just regurgitating some shit I've even heard The Japanese say. I can't find the exact article because it's from years ago. But the executive was basically explaining that The Japanese like to perfect already existing tech, but they don't like to take gambles on new and innovating tech. He was lauding Apple for inventing the iPhone and how they changed the whole phone market with their product, whereas the Japanese make good products, but they never make anything revolutionary.

Taizo Son, brother of SoftBank CEO, explains what's hindering Japan's innovation culture

Here's the first google result I could find on a similar subject:
cnbc.com/2017/05/04/taizo-son-japan-innovation-culture.html

I'd like to see what new daring inventions The Japanese and Chinese come up with. Then America could ride their slipstream. I suppose we already do to an extent, we are posting on a Chan after all right now.

Attached: Drafting.jpg (800x652, 88.72K)

Men usually go bald, but we've "cured" it through transplants. It's just kind of expensive and supposed to be a secret so you don't realize basically all male celebrities are naturally bald.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (560x299, 317.62K)

Getting a fire squad would be a much better gesture.

His technology would at first only be available to other rich fuckers. The innovations within them are his IPs, not public commons open for research and use. On top of that all the minerals used are expensive and rare, meaning this technological is inherently inaccessible for most.

Also, if you dumb libtards could see beyond market logic, you'd see that all ecological problems are a matter of management, not technological innovation. We don't need eletric cars, with need better public transport; it isn't fucking rocket science, if the same vehicle is carrying more people the carbon per capita is smaller.

Saman Kunan was too pure for our world.

Attached: nickland.jpg (672x737, 127.72K)

dumbass Tesla isn't even that relevant in the market share of EV's sold al lthe major auto manufacturers in Asia and Ford and GM already have EV's released that are cheaper than Tesla's shit. Tesla will go bankrupt and end up as a brand of a major auto manufacturer like Ford Lincoln instead it will be Ford Tesla
