Lately I was wondering, how can we fight this Zig Forumstard menace over the internet?
It's incredible how they can easily spread their bullshit on *chans and forums in general like plagues. They have this amazing ability to turn into shit every space they come to.
Really, how/why those alt-shit, nazi, fascist ideologies have such an appeal within the young people? How can the good ol' class theory explain this phenomenon?

I also wonder why this thing hasn't been discussed here yet, seems you all are too busy shitposting to address a serious problem.
Some reasons:
- They're annoyed with the clearly hypocritical liberal establishment, and fascism is the easiest way to oppose it. Why address the failure of SJWs to achieve their own objectives when you can simply reject them wholesale?
- Fascism is a meme-driven ideology. It thrives in a half-ironic atmosphere where there is no longer a border between jokes and serious claims. Fascist ideas spread because they're fun to parrot.
- Group dynamics: Kids want to identify with the cool and edgy 4chan and not with the self-important and hysterical Tumblr. 4chan has all the good memes. (Although this is hardly the case nowadays, the perception persists.)
- They're deeply insecure. The idea of discipline appeals to them because they perceive themselves to lack proper father figures. They love discourse around I.Q. because they see their above-average intelligence as one of their only redeeming qualities. Beta cucks have to be attacked because they wish to distance themselves from their own "weakness."
- The education system has failed to supply them with even the most basic critical thinking skills.
- No exciting narrative for the future: They feel like fuck-ups without a place in the world. Asserting themselves to be a part of a nation may relieve that a bit. If we get rid of the brown people and reassert traditional values, maybe this will get rid of the alienation they experience.
Those are a couple. I'm sure there are more.
Yes /pol is in decline. It's completaly fragmented between literal fascists, monarchists, ancaps, Trump supporters, former Trump supporters that have snaped, chistians, people who say christianity is kike bs, and civcucks.
The roots of the Zig Forums / alt right craze and SJWism/"left" idpol are ultimately one in the same. By this I mean, both movements trace the beginning of their massive growth to the failure of the Occupy movement - which was probably the biggest shock to the western bourgeoisie since the late 1960's. Occupy was essentially a movement which unified separate elements of the left - from environmentalists to anti-globalists and socialists, along with ordinary working people under a single tent, with a generally consistent (albeit vague) set of economic/social demands.
Before it phased out of existence, Occupy genuinely scared the bourgeoisie shitless. The night before Occupy WS in NYC began, you had police helicopters in the air, armed police stationed throughout the city, machine armed coast guard vessels patrolling the hudson, etc.. The bourgeois state were preparing for a full-blown revolt. While this fear was ultimately delusion on their behalf, the movement - which rapidly spread throughout the world, was enough of a shock for the bourgeois state that they realized they had to prevent a similar thing from happening again. This fear reached its peak when occupy encampments took place in pretty much every city in the world, with thousands of ordinary workers - eg, construction workers, joining the evening general assemblies, and talk of a shadow government being formed in North America (Eg, An elected "People's Congress" in the United States, which very nearly came to fruition)
Back "in the day" - from the 2000's up until about 2012, the far left was the dominant counterculture. If you wanted to resist the system, you joined up with the anti-globalists, environmentalists, anarchists, etc.. All vulgar left-wing movements. Those of us who were in the movement in the 2000s even remember when Alex Jones had to pander to the left (his shift to an ultra-reactionary took place post 2013).
Immediately following Occupy, the bourgeois state needed to find a way to stop the left from unifying ever again. Occupy became too dangerously close to becoming a cohesive, organized movement. So how they achieved this was two pronged:
1): Rot out the core of the revolutionary left with divisive and ludicrous Idpol - eg, queer politics, racial politics, etc. Ultimately these people will be so detached from reality and so toxic/divisive that they pose no threat to the bourgeois state, and actively turn people away from socialism.
2). Using the IDPOL/SJW left as a boogyman, fuel the rise of a viciously anti-communist reactionary movement to act as a new stand in counter culture, again harming the left. Have agents from both sides (SJWs/Altright) coordinate to create a fake, but ultimately harmless culture war based on useless idpol, etc. Zig Forums has been one of the greatest assets in building this. When the alt right totally crumbles due to demoralization, a lot of people are going to be looking leftward for answers.
The bourgeois state has had critical success so far. That being said, both sides of the fork are quickly bending. Zig Forums and the alright have already peaked in popularity, and following the failiure of the Trump movement, are beginning to fall apart. Meaning the "left" reactionaries - SJWs, by nature of their toxic politics, are beginning to fold in as well. Resistance is building among revolutionary leftists.
The ability for the left to rebuild strongly depends on effectively countering and destroying the state built reactionary "left" ("SJW") movement. These people are our primary enemies at the current point of struggle. If that can be done, a lot of the alt-right can be rehabilitated, and integrated into the revolutionary movement with time.
Good post with good points, but I think you miss the fact that everyone and there grandmother can see that The SJW movement is getting the establishment cosign.
The only thing I think to do is differentiate and distance. Let Hollywood and The Beltway lay further claim to that movement and all the negative opinion you think is being put on the left from the public conflating them and The SJWs will happen doubly so for the establishment.

I agree with everything other than the very last line.
You can't rehabilitate most of the alt-right simply because they're petty bourg incels who spent years marinading in misogyny and self pity and won't mobilize for anything short of a promise of free sex.
They fit right in with Zig Forums because they provided them with an easy excuse/scapegoat for why they weren't on top of the hoard and their rhetoric could easily be used to enable them and eventually rope them in. We can't do that on the left, our answer to their problem is way too nuanced and would require them to do too much to be remotely effective.
And, to be honest, seeing how often they sperg out and destroy their movement's optics, I don't even think it was a good idea for the right to bring them on board.
