Russia is actually very interesting. Russia is the future. The people are not stupid. They are not classcucked. They are fully aware of their condition. The experience of the cold war and the fall of the soviet union along with market failures of the immediate post soviet period made them completely nihilistic and a-ideological. When Putin constantly accuses America of having false democracy, engaging in killings, humans rights abuses, etc he's actually being a quintessential Russian. He is aware of the reality of the world, and uses postmodern validity of alternate narratives to his advantage. He knows full well that in the world there are no "good" guys or "bad" guys, that power in its naked form is all that matters and that ideology is shaped around that in the real world, not the other way around. The Russians know this. They know Putin is a dictator, that he fixes elections, that he plays the game of funding the protests against him so as to delegitimize them. They accept it because in post modernist fashion, they accept that Putins rule isn't actually any worse than "democratic" rule, and in fact is substantially better than what the liberals gave them after the fall of the Soviet Union. The Russians, far from being classcucked are actually woke to a degree Americans, coddled and protected from tragedy, can not imagine.
This postmodernist attitude and strategy is still rather new. It was a silent revolution started in Russia but is being exported everywhere. The total confusion war of the 2016 election is an early example of it.
