What are the main arguments against third worldism? Obviously unequal exchange can exist and exploitation can be at different levels in different places, exploitation happens more in third world and first world workers get better wages for this. Of course first world workers have an inherent incentive to support imperialism as its what keeps mall economies like the ones they work in afloat. This doesn't mean revolution is impossible in the first world, it does however mean that this has to be removed states for any sort of revolution to happen. Otherwise first world proles will always be labor aristocrats.

Dividing the world up into three sets of countries glosses over the realities of unequal development. Large portions of the United States may as well be "third world" (no flush toilets, no paved roads, barely any education, rampant malnutrition, etc.) and there are scattered areas in otherwise undeveloped countries that could pass themselves off as part of the "first world."

It adds up. I think petty booj + professionals + labor aristos are still the majority or plurality in countries like the US, but not by much, and shrinking fast.

Not yet. Also you are forgetting the massive security and surveillance apparatus that the US has at its disposal.

Don't know how many people here would agree, but first world workers are just as important as third world workers; even if they may have the luxury of having more privileges or opportunities.

Third world is vulnerable to imperialism, and any genuine movement will be crushed. It's not a question of theoretical purity, just tactics.
