by 'the way humans interact' I am referring to economic interactions… namely, creating a non-capitalist mode of production (and a political system that supports this) that, by its nature, does not allow for unsustainable mass consumption
by 'wasteful activities', I am referring to large-scale human activity that embraces mass consumption and burning of fossil fuels

Nationalizing industries does not necessarily get rid of the problems we have today, that will require a more extensive reform of human political/economic structure
