First off, they themselves have no plans for a transition to socialism (the closest they have is the “Chinese Dream”, which is just a bullshit consumerist prosperity ideology in the style of the American Dream but a little more socdem). They have never mentioned any desire to move away from “socialism with Chinese Characteristics” (their way of referring to their mixed-market state capitalist system) and of anything only want to build upon it and develop it further.
In fact, Marxists who would like to see China develop a socialist economy like Paul Cockshott are generally treated with hostility by Chinese officials (they suggested to him that if his books continued to be translated into Chinese that they might revoke his passport.
