I define LARPing as pretending to be something you’re obviously not. As one example, pretending to be a Russian revolutionary from 1917 in modern 2018 conditions (ushankas, obsession with sectarianism from 100 years ago, etc). You need to involve yourself in things which actually appeal to ACTUAL WORKERS and benefit their lives. Politics without roots in the masses is nothing more than adventurism, which can easily lapse into LARPing. My advice – take your politics seriously and don’t treat it as an identity.

That's the problem. The American government has been structured and developed in such a way that it is impossible to. Reformism doesn't work by design, and the country is functionally almost identical to an autocracy. If anyone stood up they would be instantly crushed.
If I'm going to be fucked anyway, and I have to live in a capitalist country anyway, might as well live in a kind socdem country like Iceland or Norway.
I don't even smoke weed, but as a matter of ideology I don't want to live in a country with drug laws that would make it illegal.

I'm already doing that, but let's be honest, we are far too outnumbered. We have about 2 years to prevent climate change from reaching catastrophic levels. Then 10 years before it reaches it's climax. Our closest "mainstream" party is the greens, but they are a fraction of a voting block, and are afraid to even describe themselves as "Anti-Capitalist" much less Socialist.
Simply put, the American government is the perfectly tuned machine to sustain the most predatory possible form of capitalism. Everything from birth to selective education in schools to death is tailored to make you surrender yourself to it.
If capitalism fails, fascism will eagerly replace it. They have the support, membership, and weapons to back it up.
