Opinion: We should back a mainstream candidate in 2019

Two years of Trump has done Hell for this country. Tax reductions to the rich, every trace of what was Obamacare gone, racial tensions at their highest in 50 years, etc. Let's face it, people like us not voting Hillary in 2016 got us into this mess. If we back a divisive candidate again this time we'll be stuck with another term of Trump. Just look at the last two years: Trump has normalized practices which have been frowned upon for decades. Some of Trump's right wing rhetoric is already in the mainstream. If Trump we get 6 more years of Trump the country's mindset will be set back 30 years.
Do not support a divisive candidate in the primaries. Not enough Americans have accepted socialism as reasonable. You will fragment the left again and leave us open for a loss.

Clinton was even more of an open war-monger than trump, she would've done nothing about or actively assist Wall Street fuckery. Also, there is no Left in American politics in any meaningful sense. Saying Bernie divided the left is naive when you consider that the vast majority of democrats in office are neoliberals. If someone is a banker/CEO/lobbyist/salesman for the new ChildHunter 6000 Missile system, then putting on a pink pussy hat and calling yourself the #resistance doesn't make you a leftist.

Tldr; we would be no better off with clinton, but a handful of talking heads and sheltered liberal arts students would sperg out less, giving the shallow impresdion that all is well.

A lie.
Hillary and the establishment dems are the reason we're in this mess, everyone wanted Bernie from African-Americans to working class whites.Put away for the time sanders is to the right of Corbin he was the People's Choice and the best the US can do for now. We don't need to vote establishment Dems in 2020 the establishment dems just need to get out of sanders way.
Do to Sanders more people know about "socialism" than ever in America, I have even gotten some sanders supporters the convert to communism and general leftism.
Good the more people that wake up to the fact that the dems are shit the better.

I'm not a liberal, retard. I'm probably more progressive than you.(USER WAS BANNED FOR LIBERALISM)

Opinion: We don't need americans to accept socialism. We just need them to get out of the way.

Good.

Trump is the best president we've had tbh.

Okay Mr. Not Liberal, quick, what's the definition of socialism?

Your stay here depends on your answer.

Best does not mean "good" and I unironically agree, to the extent that he's accelerating the decline and actually did something good like killing the TPP.

Your entire party is a circlejerk of Third Way neoliberals, old-school center left Democrats like Huey Long have been almost nonexistent, and entirely powerless, for decades. In ideological terms, the actual difference between the two American first parties is quite small, mostly it's just wedge issues and identity politics. Why would we not want your useless faggot party to burn to the ground when it doesn't even represent our interests?
Trump did not win because socialism is unthinkable; years of vacuous red-baiting and pandering to religious people has already backfired and made it thinkable again. Trump won because Clinton is an unelectable imperialist warhawk cunt and a failed Machiavelli that threw the entire election out of hubris. Liberals constantly screech about Trump is LITERALLY HITLER when Clinton would have invaded three different countries by now–and they would defend it, like they unironically backed Obama's drone warfare and expansion of the surveillance state.
Even now, liberals cannot actually explain why a candidate like Sanders is such a bad thing. All they do is pelt him and his supporters with vague and unfounded accusations of muh sojiny and said nothing when the Democratic Party shamelessly sabotaged his campaign because Clinton was practically already decided. Keep in mind that Sanders is only slightly left wing, and even in the ages of Red Scares, there have been much further left figures in American politics.
Liberals are not leftists, they are center-right capitalist apologists.

Go back to Reddit.

Supporting a candidate for the purpose of causing destabilization of of the system could be a tactic to soften society for a takeover. Support someone who will cause more division than the Clinton/Trump 2016 campaign caused , that caused rioting on the streets for a couple of months, now imagine if you could find someone more divisive to support against Trump , neither of them would win, the government would collapse and communists could march to victory.

This has to be done in such a way that it looks like genuine supporters are doing it, and the objective is to throw as much gas on the fire as possible to cause massive civil unrest that can be used to facilitate the revolution.

movie name?

Finnish Matrix lad, it's in the filename

Tell your boss I'd never vote for an imperialist capitalist. Tell her I also haven't forgotten her stances on gays and browns
