I don’t even think Pink Floyd is all that political. The Wall is more about Syd Barret than political oppression. As to why they were so obsessed with a band member that went psychopathic and left before they had any albums that charted, who knows? It always seemed weird to me.

a lot of people on 4/mu/ tend to see all "music with a message" as plebeian, which is not a sentiment I share, but I agree that the music itself should remain the primary focus. And some Immortal Technique songs, especially the poverty of philosophy, really sound too much like him giving a lecture with a beat under it. He has some classic hip hop tracks though like Dance with the Devil (hidden track is fire too) and Creation&Destruction.
