SANTA FE, Texas (Reuters) - The 17-year-old student charged with killing 10 people when he opened fire in an art class at his Houston-area high school appeared “weirdly nonemotional” on the morning after the rampage, one of his lawyers said on Saturday. The teenager, identified by law enforcement as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, has been charged with capital murder and is being held without bail in Santa Fe, Texas, where authorities said he went on a shooting spree shortly before 8 a.m. CDT on Friday. In addition to 10 fatalities, the gunman wounded at least 13 people, with two of them in critical condition. One of those in critical condition was one of the two school resource officers who engaged the shooter before his surrender. Nicholas Poehl, one of two lawyers hired by the suspect’s parents to represent him, told Reuters he had spent a total of one hour with Pagourtzis on Friday night and Saturday morning. “He’s very emotional and weirdly nonemotional,” the attorney said when asked to describe his client’s state of mind. “There are aspects of it he understands and there are aspects he doesn’t understand.” As the shooting unfolded, Pagourtzis spared people he liked so he could have his side of the story told, a charging document showed. While authorities have given no indication why he apparently targeted the art class, a mother of one of the victims told the Los Angeles Times that her daughter, Shana Fisher, 16, had rejected four months of aggressive advances from Pagourtzis. Fisher finally stood up to him and embarrassed him in class, the newspaper quoted her mother Sadie Rodriguez as writing in a private message to the Times. “A week later he opens fire on everyone he didn’t like,” she said. “Shana being the first one.” Classmates at the school of some 1,460 students described Pagourtzis as a quiet loner who played on the football team. On Friday, they said he wore a trench coat to school on a day when temperatures topped 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius). Texas’ governor told reporters that Pagourtzis obtained firearms from his father, who had likely acquired them legally, and also left behind explosive devices. Abbott said Pagourtzis wanted to commit suicide, citing the suspect’s journals, but did not have the courage to do so. Some aspects of the shooting had echoes of the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado in 1999. The two teenaged killers in that incident wore trench coats, used shotguns and planted improvised explosives, killing 10 before committing suicide themselves. It was the second mass shooting in Texas in less than seven months. A man armed with an assault rifle shot dead 26 people during Sunday prayers at a rural church last November.
He's already been exposed as a sexual deviant, and so bullying was the proper application for the betterment of his development. He's human garbage and should be executed without trial by a vigilante mob (since the gov't is too untrustworthy to implement capital punishment. Of course this could be fixed by de facto charging procesutors with 1st degree murder for knowingly going after an innocent murder suspect).

Wonder if she wished she'd handled the situation differently when she was looking down that barrel? Probably not, she's a member of a protected class, after all. It's not possible somebody would ever take action against her.
I've seen no evidence to this statement. Would you care to elaborate?

According to her own mother's story, she clearly deserved it. One can reject another person's "aggressive" (aggressive probably just being added by the cunt, 'cause she's salty that her thot daughter got the first bullet) advances without resorting to straight up humiliation of the person attempting to gain your affection. Heartless bitches.

Exactly my point. This sounds less like some creepy psycho deciding to shoot up his school because [insert alarmist nonsense here], and much more like a slightly socially inept geeky teenager getting raked over the coals by a woman who thought that humiliating and crushing him would make her look better. As for the shooting, consider that this is an injured young man looking for some recognition and validation, then consider what the American media and public do to school shooters nearly 20 years after the Columbine shooting Harris and Klebold are still being talked about more than most pop-stars/actors from that period
The vigilante mob should be executed by a larger vigilante mob, and so on, until the US is fucking empty. Most cancerous shithole third world fucking nigger-pit on the planet.

Well I'm glad to see how it worked out for her.
We've created a society of inequality that people do not really appreciate: those who are skilled with wordplay and social acumen have a distinctly unequal higher footing than those who do not, even if those who do not possess those traits are skilled in other areas - like the intestinal fortitude to be willing and able to visit violence up to the level of murderous upon another. We've maintained the framework for those of wit to launch attacks on anyone they want within the confines of the social and legal framing of our society but removed all forms of codified violence from the equation.
Putting this into a bit of perspective - President Abraham Lincoln was once very nearly engaged in a duel (which likely would have seen him killed as he was clearly unprepared for it going so far as to hastily hire a West Point tutor in preparation) over a scathing insult made against another politician in a newspaper. The duel was halted before it began by their seconds, cooler heads prevailed and obviously some form of amends was made. But he himself later noted it forever changed the way he interacted with people, you need to have a basic respect for human dignity to survive in a world where you might be killed for your inappropriate insults.
There is no mechanism now, with the school fight being so utterly outlawed, for children to learn this harsh reality of life: You ought not write checks with your mouth that your body can not cash. Don't fucking attack people's pride and dignity, it's a dangerous proposition and you have no idea how hard they may have worked to cultivate what small amount of self-respect they've managed themselves or how viciously they will hold on to it when threatened.
Adding to the mix we have the modern progression stack bullshit and we have tiered classes of citizens in education, and worse they carry that doctrine into the real world afterwards. What cause have any but violence in the face of this outrageous facet of society - where you are forever unable to display or express yourself against these protected classes, typically women but race also factors into it. You can't say we are all equal and pull shit like that it offends the notion of truth on even a fundamental level that anyone can see.
This shit will keep happening, and well it should. The weak deserve no protection from the strong but that which they can provide themselves.
High school is a dick measuring contest to see who can be more petty and spiteful towards an adversary. Kinda like chan culture tbh

Thats how it was in my high school. I didn't play hat game so I was a target. It wasn't until years later some of them apologized after they realized what they did to me could have caused them to end up like those kids in the classroom, except I had more self-control.
Caleb Hill
Obviously, there is.

I think he means no sustainable mechanism. This sort of thing will just end up killing more undeserving people in the crossfire. Dueling was 1v1: the person who did the deed and the person who was affected. Schools used to not care if the bullied kid suddenly learned karate and fucked up the bully. Now they punish the bullied kid.
That's the thing, it's proven to be a sustainable mechanism ever since Colombine (and probably before that, but I'm not a school shooting historian). Mechanisms are just memes and most memes that gain a foothold over society weren't forced, but started organically. I'm sure the first duel wasn't called a duel, it was just two guys who decided to settle their differences with a gentlemanly gun fight. People noticed it settled the dispute, restored the social order and reinforced manly stereotypes, so it became popularized. We're seeing the same process play out now, but the difference is that it's not a socially-sanctioned mechanism. The shooters come from diverse demographics and are spread out over different areas of the country. There have even been some school shootings outside the U.S. though so far it's mainly an American phenomenon. The organic mechanism of shooting up a school to take revenge against bullies is now a national meme. It won't end until society changes, because unlike dueling, you can't "outlaw" this meme because it's literally a meme which originated from outside the law at the societal level and that's where it will need to resolve from. Personally, I hope schools become obsolete. The whole structure has become archaic and toxic. Kids should be educated privately and in a personally tailored way. Likely, through computers, internet, AI, etc. As far as socialization is concerned, there can be formal social events supervised by parents who ensure no one is getting bullied or humiliated by the peer group. Parents or matchmaking professionals can try to match up students for dating. By the way, this kind of "hands on" parenting and educating of the young was the tried and true way for most of human history. Handing your kids off to the state for education is a relatively recent phenomenon, which occurred during a time when most kids lived on farms and it made sense to educate kids in a separate building by an older person who was smart, but too frail for farm labor. And in those days, the kids all knew each other very well and everyone basically had the same social status because they all came from farming families. Modern America is too fragmented, mean spirited, competitive and socialist (masked as "equality"). The first thing a kid learns in school is the pledge of allegiance. It is a state indoctrination camp meant to mold kids into either mindless corporate office drones or obedient soldiers who serve as cannon fodder for foreign military adventures which only benefit the 1%.
Dominic Foster
The "proper application" resulted in a school shooting that left 10 people dead. Though the media screeched about Columbine being caused by violent video games, music, etc, the real culprit was also bullying. With social justice warriors becoming the norm, would having them bully those who believe in traditional values be the proper application as well since they outnumber the conservatives?

It's Texas. Texans are known to be serial killers so I feel like he was being bullied for not being a killer. The girl probably rejected him for being a sexual professional and wanting to have sex instead of conpulsively killing brown people, so in order to win her heart he had to prove that he was a true killer. It's the girls fault. If we was having sex then he wouldn't have had to prove that he deserved it to females who infatuate themselves with killers.

I posted the original mechanism comment and would chime in here that, I hadn't looked at it this way either. It's interesting to note there is an emergent meme in both our opinions too, one that seems to be widely gaining a foothold the more and more one looks around at the modern way these things are done. You're calling for a technologically modernized but traditional approach to education in this post, I'm calling for a more traditional view on kids and their unsupervised social interaction (violent or otherwise).
The underlying factor here is a growing recognition that we're doing the business of educating young people, particularly young men and boys, incorrectly. With fatal consequences. It's as though we're all coming to realize we took a wrong turn at some point and need to make an about turn and recover lost ground.
I only wonder if we're anymore qualified now to choose a right path than a wrong one moving forward. I admit, I'm only high-school educated - hell I was identified as possessing a learning disability with regards to reading comprehension and literary expression - and so I seriously question my own qualifications at correcting this course. But the alternative, letting the people who institutionalize these literally alien, in that they don't sit well with people nor appear to have any analogs in the behaviors of our closest primate cousins, doctrines seems increasingly too dangerous to ignore.
We've got safe spaces, anti-shaming ("don't shame me for being fat/vapidly promiscuous/incompetent!") movements and more pressuring people how to think and it pours out of the colleges and universities in the real world. We're trying our hand at legislating away legitimate human emotions like shame and insecurity to protect people from experiencing them rather than teaching them the more valuable lessons of dealing with their inevitability.
I just think it's very interesting that there's a call to more traditional western values now. Just like, a few years back the middle east has had a call to more traditional Muslim values. I wonder how closely the two are related not just because of the similarities of this emergent zeitgeist, I suppose, but also the extremes to which it has led "the other side" to in this case. How distant a rift is this going to cause in the future, how violent will things become. You can't levy against the sea forever, rage and anger need to be expressed - all levies break eventually.
Jack Collins
If you want to get into the history of duelling it goes back a long way before the development of even the most basic firearms. It was an integral part of most medieval societies legal systems - "trial by combat" was the go to verdict when two men disagreed and couldn't reach an agreement in court. It goes back a long way before that as well, it wasn't a sustainable conflict resolution mechanic that people worked out as a way to resolve problems sensibly so much as it was the stronger cavemans way of making the weaker caveman do what he wanted.
Lincoln Sanders
Blame the state. The state wouldn't let him pursue farm animals and dogs so he was forced to pursue something less in order to fit in with the other degenerates. If it wasn't for the state laws this wouldn't have ever happened.

That's what happens when they cut mens balls off. Turns them into killer robots tools with no other objective in life other than "kill kill kill" terminate terminate! The gun didn't kill people that day. Dimitri was the gun!!
We can't have both God and Guns. Take one or the other. Look at the middle east home of the faithful. Most faithful people and all they do is blow people up and kill every day. They don't even need guns for that. If people we're allowed to have more sex instead of reading books instructing them to kill, we might not have this problem.
The state and the school and the people in it caused the problem. Yes they're all crying about the shooting but deep down their faith called for it. They got what they wanted.

The worst part is that it insulates the well-spoken ambitious soyboys against violent criticism of their ideology that would wake them to the realities of the world. As for the progressive stack, it's not so easily summarized as a historical factoid. It's very much alive and still developing. One need only pay attention to educators, thinkers, and critics of our times to get a glimpse of it. Johnathan Haidt, Jordan Peterson, Camille Paglia are all educators themselves and openly criticizing its presence in education - the fact that the media, popular opinion, and anyone with purple hair wants them to shut up for their "racism and bigotry" (utterly slanderous on all counts) should be enough to infer the truth of their claims. Beyond that the research is yours, you need only look at tumblr, reddit, facebook, twitter or indeed any social media outlet, even Zig Forums itself (even though it is sort of a running gag on the theme of a social media point it serves this purpose for probably a great many posters here who maintain no social connections elsewhere).
Where you fall on the spectrum of agreeing or disagreeing with those doctrines there is no way their presence can be denied in our school systems at this point.

The girl was probably not into men, and instead of being open and honest about it she and her friends took it upon themselves to humiliate the man and make the man look like the bad guy. Lots of people got hurt because of the dishonesty and irresponsibility of the girl and her friends. All they had to do was lose their secrets and they would still be alive.
If they had not been shot and we're still alive today I bet they would still be just as irresponsible and selfish, putting other people's lives in danger to protect their little insignificant secrets.

On the contrary, I am eternally grateful for the well-deserved beatings I received both at home and at school. A mob lynching is the purest form if vigilantism, exactly because what you're describing is impossible. A lynching occurs when justice demands it; there is a cohesive principle at stake. A society with no cohesive values does not foment into a mob lynching, but gang warfare.
it is no measure of good health to conform to an ill society.

this person is a really special kind of sick. probably got bullied so hard that they learned to like it because rationalizing it as something positive was the only way their minds could cope with it. they probably beat their kids and think they are doing the right thing too. they have become that which has hurt them, they have become what they hate and were meant to go against.
Justin Richardson
I didn't love being bullied; the hatred of it drove me to fight back. It wasn't until much later in life, comparing my outcome to others who were similarly tested but failed to self-actualize in response, that I realized how important bullying is. That MDE clip is absolute veritas disguised as satire (as usual).

I think you're a sensationalist gimmick pushing sanctimonious lying sack of shit who didn't get anywhere doing what you promote. giving others false ideas to watch them fail.

Back in the day, the adults who conceived the child acted as the parents, not that child's peers. You getting beat into conforming doesn't make what ever stupid shit you were forced to do or became right, doesn't make your parent's lack of involvement in your life right, and it doesn't make herd mentality right.
Luis Allen
Parental guidance and societal acceptance are two necessary components in developing a child. The parents cannot do all the socializing. I would say with the excessive amount of time spent in public school, parents SHOULD take some of their responsibility back from the state. For the societal components, bullying is a necessary corrective measure. An important barometer in peer socialization is the ability to attract the opposite sex. I realize that won't be a popular notion on a website INFESTED with borderline or full-on homosexual incels, but women have a transcendental, biologically endowed ability to judge a man. They can't coopt our females entirely. The vagina is smarter than the female brain. For example, look what comes out of Emma Watson's mouth vs. what goes into her vagina.
just becasuse many people do things the wrong way doesn't mean that they are right because they are many. it just means that many people are doing things the wrong way.
Jayden Wilson
Friendly reminder that the modern bully is only so because: 1) His victim cannot fight back 2) If his victim does fight back it's codified in such a way that it will further isolate the victim/make future bullying easier Social bullying is a horrible thing. Anons don't know what it's like to nearly get charged at age 13 with sexual harassment when a girl you've never even talked to before decides she hates your guts/doesn't like sitting next to you in choir class because you have puberty BO that no amounts of showering/deodorant gets rid of. Thank god for security cameras and my dad's actual not-joking hatred of women. Otherwise I'd have had a criminal record for being a boy in puberty.
Shit user, it took me hiring a lawyer to threaten to sue the school/filing a police report just to get them to review the video recording when bullies broke my little brother's wrist during passing period, and even though the court found the fuckers guilty/made their parents pay reparations, the school still refused to fucking suspend the kids because they were on the wrestling team. Thanks for reminding me of why the US education system is complete shit.
user, I completely sympathize with what you're saying about public schools in America. I experience this level of bullying and even more. I've had my nose broken and front tooth knocked out. I've been beaten by groups of people (3, and even 6 once) as "campus supervisors" stood nearby watching, with smiles on their faces. It's almost like schools are more like a prison than a place of learning (hint: its deliberate). Modern schools are modeled on the Prussian system. Multi-award winning public school teacher John Taylor Gatto has written exposés on the subject. I suggest reading his books; you will home school or private school your kids if you can, after reading these.
That being said, I maintain that bullying serves a vital social function. The ills you've mentioned are about the corrupt school systems. That doesn't mean over-the-top bullying should go unpunished or even encouraged as you and I have seen.
I'm not going to spoonfeed you. Read the thread, read any of the half dozen threads on this shooting.

I'm sorry your dad didn't love you, user, but that doesn't absolve him of responsibility for you upbringing. No parents shouldn't "take some of their responsibility back", because it is entirely their responsibility to raise a child, not the "state".
Since you don't seem to know anything about what you are talking about and you obviously didn't have decent parents, I'll let you in a little secret: In the first few years of a child's life, they spend all of their time around a parent (assuming good parents). As they get older, they spend less time around their parents, but it they don't need to as much. You learn most of what you know about socializing from your parents. The first few years of your life is when you learn the most basic parts of socializing, like speaking. As children grow, they continue to observe and mimic adults who they respect the most: their parents (assuming not shit parents). Kids with good parents end up happier and well adjusted because they were properly taught how to function. Kids like you who have shit parents, end up depressed, have issues forming bonds, have little man syndrome, and/or end up killing a bunch of people or yourself.
Just an fyi. Feminism, tumblr, and progressive shit is bullying and the result of bullying. Everyone who are a part of either of those groups, are because they were coerced into doing it unless they are the ones leading it. The irony of you arguing against kike influence and taking jabs at homosex is that your post is enabling, if not endorsing it.
As for rambling about the opposite sex, that shit is what your dad is supposed to be teaching you. Bullying never got anyone laid. The exact opposite always happened, unless you honestly believe that all those chads were just reformed bully victims.
Ian Harris
If my dad didn't love me, he would have been indifferent instead of correcting me. We're great friends; he came over just yesterday and we had a couple beers. Best fucking dad a guy could ask for.
You're conflating society with the state. By the way, an overbearing mother and an indifferent father are highly correlated with homosexuality. Plenty of research on the topic.
I skipped the rest of your post since it started jam-packed with so many fallacies. You can't build a good argument with false premises.
