These surveys are targeted mostly at young people. A lot of people get more religious as they get older. Not gonna pretend this isn't bad, but lets not make it out to be worse than it is.

This is depressing, but expected. The Europeans have been detached from God for a while now. It's evident in their general temperaments and media, policies. White americans are more religious, but normally the lukewarm Protestant brand.
Also, does anyone have more stats on Muslims? Are they becoming non-religious in their own countries, or becoming non-religious in European countries, or is it that those of the Muslim faith genuinely have a stronger belief in their religion than those Europeans?
