At a certain point, I assume, it will make more business sense to adopt marijuana product production than it will to lobby against it. If cannabis becomes legal country-wide, and you're able to sell it across state lines (a couple of ifs), i would think alcohol and tobacco companies would jump at the chance to produce their own McMarijuana products.

They did the rounds of ALL the breakfast TV, news stations, newspapers, talk shows etc, the son plays the "misinformed believer in woo woo like spiritualism and cannabis curing cancer", while the father's part was to tut tut, shake his head, smirk and "correct" medicinal cannabis claims with "scientific" interjections.
You have to see it to believe it.
Of course, the script had the "son" ending up "dead" after 5 years.
