As God, Jesus has no mother, only a Father

Now that Sam Shamoun accepted and evangelized the apostolic teaching of the Christotokos, are you guys going to add him to the great book of grudges?

The scriptures clearly say "The Word was made flesh." There were not two "Jesuses".

Elizabeth and John also leapt for joy, and Elizabeth called Mary "Mother of my Lord." If Lord isn't God, then what kind of Lord then? The only one that denies it was some other kind of "lord" is the real heretic. The oldest of heretics.

And the prophecy of Isaiah always said it is "God with us."

So you, along with the rest of your sect, believe in a quadrinity of God?

It was this so called "sect" that first taught the Trinity to begin with. You wouldn't know a thing without it's creeds, councils, or canons. Now you want to define it by things it never believed?

All Mary does is point back to her Son. She isn't divine herself.

Lol. No one expect your sect believes that, expectually after learning about the pseudo isidorian decretals, the ascetic/monastic movement, the almost universal Alexandrian interpretation of the bible nearly after two centuries of the apostles, the Carpocratian "honuoring" of imagines, and much more.

Yet that is what title Theotokos demands because God is eternal, thus for her to be eternal she must be God and since there's only one god, she would have to be a member of the godhood. Which is blasphemous.
Please stop and return to the true church that Roma has abandon long ago.

Lord can literally just mean master. Other people in the bible are called Lord

What exactly is your claim?
State your issue if you want to have a debate.

Christian claim that: as God, Jesus has no mother, only a Father.

Mary isn't eternal, she is created by God while still being the mother of God because Jesus is God and Mary is the mother of Jesus

Why, exactly, doesn't Mary count?

What is Y O U R claim you dumb tigger?

The Orthodox position is that: Jesus is God, Mary gave birth to Jesus, so Mary is Theotokos…the Christ bearer

Now what is YOUR issue?(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST)

Both of us are sitting in a thread with a muslim who wont state what their actual position is…because they don't have one. They aren't here to argue in good faith and wont lay the groundwork necessary for an actual debate.

If you intend to argue with with sophists you will have to force them to explain themselves FIRST. Save your lectures and stern meme faces who for women, they don't work here.

Where's the mod anyways? Even if you're talking to a muslim you can't breach rule 2.

1.I asked the other user what "his" position was.
2.He responded with something that is not his position and a non-christian position.

He is being fallacious, and I called him out.
Thats it. Im trying to force him to commit to something, anything at all. And you step in like mother-goose. Stop sidetracking this.

But that is his position

Then she called a baby in the womb her master, even when she was already acquainted with the miracle of John's conception, which was amazing on it's own. She's putting Mary's child in a whole other category. And rightfully so. Only an idiot would think a virgin birth was a mere "prophet" or Lord.

The doctrine of Theotokos isn't about Mary. It's about Jesus. And every heretic will immediately out themselves because of it. Because they eventually deny the divinity of Christ by doing it. It has nothing to do with Mary.

THIS

Was God born on earth?
Yes.
Who bore him?
Mary.
Mary is the mother of God, in the sense of giving birth to God's earthly incarnation. Not in the sense of "creation ex nihilo", simple.

Protestants have no reason to reject the "theotokos" title.

Nestorianism the thread.

Don't say the N-word

Serious question, how come that lots of American protestants are becoming more and more N*storian in doctrine?

Christ is the perfect balance between eternal and temporal, God and Man, Church and State, Nature and Law, etc. Our entire political system and way of life is based on the opposition of the two. These people are trapped on the world and can't get out, through no fault of their own. Pray for them to stop hurting themselves.
