What's the future of internet? Descentralized? Or the same model we have but using VPNs/Tor?

that's a text game silly

Close.
But your ironic post isn't the future of the internet it's more like 2005-present internet.

the globalists will try to ban encryption, and then after that, local storage

they'll probably fail though, i just hope not too many people will die

The internet is decentralized, by design. That was its entire raison d'être.

Internet is SOMEWHAT decentralized if you look at it from autonomous system's position. But you are not AS, you are filthy serf with single uplink (lucky if you get to choose between couple oligopolists).

That give you top number of subjects (because companies might have several ASNs assigned), able to able to participate in peering (which is necessary for proper decentralization).

The future is: We're fucked.

This is the absolute truth and there is nothing we can do to change that. They won, and we lost.

The kikes never fail. They always win.

Google, Facebook and Cloudflare will act as a global ‘Great Firewall’ endorsed in secret by shadow governments, the EU and the UN.
‘Problematic’ and anonymous users will be silenced by unsolvable captchas.

...

This is the saddest yet most realistic forecast made ITT, and anyone who believes otherwise is fooling themselves.
It's over. They won.

People like you are the heroes Zig Forums needs. Bluepilled autists can get fucked. THe kikes won, deal with it.

yes
no. fuck off
current, not future. Tor is a bandaid for the web

Explain what your ideal system would look like
It's not a meshnet, because that's even less anonymous than the current version (at least your IP could belong to anyone with your ISP).

The only two explanations for this poster (singular) is that:
1) is acually retart
2) is a poor attempt at encouraging a reverse-psychology reaction

Both those things, but with better infrastructure and more users. The normienet will stay popular with all those who mainly use the internet for netflix and facebook; access to this internet will probably become free since some corporations are pushing for "internet as a human right" which benefits both corporations and users. Decentralized and anonymous internet will grow its user numbers and we'll see it being used for a lot of regular uses too, not just illegal or sketchy stuff. Any censorship attempted at the normienet level will be easily bypassed by decentralized/anonymous net.

The data points to the opposite direction. Most traffic goes through the big players, it should only get more and more centralized.

you need onion routing no matter what. when the internet moves to something with anonymity by default, you'll be onion routing to everything and there wont be a concept of IP addresses or any similar identifier.
it will be like freenet for static content (IEEE or some other body already works on this, I can't remember) and i2p for interactive connections

fuck off spamming nigger

i could not complete any google captchas on any website for about 3 months, earlier this year

That's what they do on 4chan.

It's cute that you think that, but base numbers and trends dictate that the whole Internet will be a dictatorship led by Silicon Valley. There is nothing you can say or do to stop this. We already lost.

This. One only need look at the trends and data to see that Google and Apple are winning, and our freedom-loving base will fade into nothingness. Forever.

I would like to see more islands in the internet sea. You connect to you and your friends VPN (not an anonymity proxy, but a real LAN-like VPN) and connect to eachothers services. I had hoped wireguard could encourage that, but it'll need a better windows implementation for that to happen.

blackpill kike shoo

You're going to die, the clock's ticking

nothing heroic about defeatism, coward.

To all the bluepilled autists who still foolishly have hope in decentralization, read this thread

the next internet is going to be on the blockchain, every single website you visit you'll have to micropay to view.

Ban encryption? In what universe would that happen, and how?

The easiest way to have an anonymous internet is to have a logless ISP that cycles dynamic IPs

Relying on someone else to not spy on you is technically the easiest way to not be spied on, but you know that's not what we are looking for

They can open source it faggot.
Come up with an argument that can't be used for any anonymous network.

How are you going to verify that the code running on their servers is the same they are open sourcing? How do you know there's not other code running together and logging things?
How do you know the logging is not done at the kernel or even hardware level, effectively MITMing the open source code?
If you don't trust them on the "no logs" part, how can you trust them on any of those?
Keep in mind we are talking about an ISP, and the network would be anonymous only if they don't fuck up or sabotage it.
