THE AVALANCHES BTFO
Isaac Ramirez
Cooper Reyes
Connor Roberts
Josiah Edwards
The album cover is so fucking terrible.
Zachary Richardson
I can't imagine being even bothering to listen to an Avalanches album right now. Fucks sake.
There is no way that Gen X-centric artists can do anything relevant. It would be like the musical equivalent of, like, politically occupying some alternate universe where rebellion was still cool and fresh and 'punk' and Democrats legitimately seemed way better than the Republicans in any substantial way and liberals were actually remotely non-cringe. That's another dimension now. Not that it's a 'conservative' dimension, but there's no flipping back to the 90s timeline.

Woah that one user from the other thread was spot on

Dude I couldn't be less interested in being edgy. If you actually think that the DNC - who are currently allowing MILLIONS of people to be evicted from their homes during a pandemic - with no relief aide or UBI - are the good guys, any more the the despicable Republicans are, then you're just invested in the aesthetics / optics of the old political ontology because it was familiar and comforting. Reality is literally screaming in our faces - through Pelosi, AOC etc - that the DNC have completely fucked everyone, and if you want to keep trying to ignore that and boil things down to some meaningless left vs right / cool liberal vs 'chuds' thing, well, clearly it's just that history surpassed the boundaries of your comfort zone and you need to pretend that reality is actually like the corny post-war Star Wars / Harry Potter narrative of Democrat 'good guys' vs literal nazis. Which is all a complete red herring, no connection to reality.
But yeah keep sitting by while your party FUCKS everyone. Of course there's nothing that can be done, but stop lying to yourself.

Sir this is an Avalanches thread
Julian Lee
Carter Anderson
Bretty good score ngl but it did deserve that BNM
Kevin Ward
You should be able to tell it's a copypasta my dudes
Ryan Martinez
Yeah, my tangent was running off on a metaphor that being 'into' Gen X artists 'feels like' existing and believing within a 90s political ontology - aka something completely impertinent and a foregone interest.
Daniel Davis
why is half of the album just annoying rap? why is wherever you go a shitty WUB WUB song? theres some really good songs in it but then it just gets boring and uninteresting about halfway through
Kevin Reyes
pitchfork has an agenda against australia. I think it's been years since one of our albums got bnm
Kayden Martinez
Woah
Easton Campbell
>why is half of the album just annoying rap
There's literally only one rap song you fucking retard.
Leo Moore
Only avalanches album that really matters imo
Zachary Wilson
it’s like they actually think white males aren’t allowed to get bnm
Landon Bell
>8.1 is a bad score
what the hell is up with pitchfork threads
Matthew Howard
Didn't touche amore and fleet foxes get bnmd recently? But nice b8 m8
Aiden Taylor
i'm prepared to believe this
Daniel Ross
Not to defend p4k--it being godawful and everything--but there were only 6 tracks on this album I really liked. 8.1 is a higher score than I'd give it.
Tyler Walker
>it’s like they actually think white males aren’t allowed to get bnm
Henry Baker
I'd give it a 9 I think.
Ayden Powell
No it isn't
Charles Sanchez
>8.1

Brayden Price
I feel like the reviewer didnt fully comprehend the album but an 8.1 is fine I guess.
