the album is just a bunch of songs done from the kid a sessions that they just put together in a very cohesive, post-kid a, 2001 way.

Funny that you'd call In Rainbows high concept but not OK Computer or Kid A. I see the 4 album streak from OKC to HTTT as one of sheer neurosis and anxiety, whereas In Rainbows is like a more existentialist Bends IMO, like if every song was a bit more concerned with being like Street Spirit.

This album and Kid A are pretty blatantly about dealing with society’s downfall come the new millennium which isn’t even high concept in the first place
