That's true of my country too, and we're also managing things pretty badly, but like... at least the govt here understood they had to cover everyone for a couple of months. Looks neat and all, but like with Odyssey I wish they just made it an original IP. There's so much more you can do if you ditch the expectations an AC game has.

We don't even need to open up people are everywhere outside even with only supermarkets being open. It was only during the first two weeks or so that streets were almost empty and you only had like five people per subway waggon. I played Expeditions: Vikings a couple years back and I honestly enjoyed it a ton, so I would rec if you're looking for stuff. It's a small studio isometric RPG though so if you don't like that kinda game obviously don't.

It just has some fun decisions to it. Like your rival for clan leadership is this brash stereotypical Viking cousin of yours, and you fight a duel and if he wins your friends will just knife him and cover it up because fuck that idiot leading the clan or if you play a female MC you can sleep with the dude the antagonists have holding Orkney to get him to move away his guards - but it's not like, particularly skeevy - he's just lonely and misses home and he wants to have dinner and flirt and go to bed with a woman he likes.

One thing I liked about is if you hew to your cultural values you will definitely not be making "nice" decisions, and that also applies if you choose to go completely over to the Scots or English kingdoms. There's a lot of least shitty options even if you're trying to be a good guy and some irresolveable religious disputes, in particular. The Scots do get a *bit* of a shiny happy pagan rep and the whole thing just throws period gender relations out the window and lets you freely play fem Viking or male Viking with no negative repercussions.
