The only reason kids back then watched it was because there was nothing else on and the internet didn't exist yet.
Loony toons existing and being rebooted completely removes any reason for Tiny toons to even be thought of or considered for being brought back or rebooted.
I think this show is underrated by this point. Adults don't miss it as much as Animaniacs and zoomers don't care about it either. I personally think it's a fun show with a lot of charm and amusing moments. You can definitely see it had an influence on entertainment from the 90s period if you want to look at it in that sense. It almost makes me sad that we'll probably never ever get something as pure as this again. I think that remakes are very often cynical even if the intention is good.
We should cherish the good things sometimes. I'm nostalgic for the 90s and 80s a lot recently.

new animation is shit.

The only reason people remember it now is because furfags won't let it go. The characters were crappy imitations of the more popular and better Loony toons selves, basically pale imitations. Why not get the REAL thing you're trying to rip off then?

It's not better than real Looney Tunes but it is a humble and decent show for people for our generation and was one of many. Again, we should appreciate what we have. Good memories are forever. I would love to have those times back again.
There was not an amazing amount of competition for it in 91. Either reruns of Beetlejuice, Tailspin, Ducktales, Alvin & the Chipmunks, or Muppet Babies, all of which had been on for a couple years and rerunning for a while.

>The only reason kids back then watched it was because there was nothing else on Very wrong. There were several kids-only blocks by then and Nickelodeon had been around since the late 70's. They watched it because it was good. It might have something to do with the zeitgeist and I'll be the first to agree it doesn't hold up as well today, but the best episodes and shorts are right up there with the best of the era. >the internet didn't exist yet. And this is how I know you're a little zoomzoom. I can dig up Usenet discussions from when these shows were airing live.

I remember not liking it much as a kid. It was mostly crappier knockoff LooneyTunes stories and jokes. And Looney Tunes was typically on in the afternoons too. Animaniacs was at least something new and different, and it was funnier.
The summer movie was pretty good. Sucks the show actually got better with the final entry in the series.

The only thing I really liked about this was that it was at least Warner trying something at least a tad different. And much moreso with Animaniacs and Freakazoid.
Ever since 2000 or so all they will ever do is a slight rehash on an old property. Usually reskinning Looney Tunes or Scooby Doo again and again and again. Warner never wants to try anything new. Just a Scooby Doo remake, or Looney Tunes Show, Wabbit, New Looney Tunes, Baby Looney Tunes, Be Cool Scooby Doo, Mystery Inc, What's New Scooby Doo.....

Too many pop culture references. Overshadowed everything else.

Most of these were just in that one tv channel episode

The writing was mostly crap, but the visuals for episodes drawn by TMS were just fantastic. How I Spent My Summer Vacation was top tier. I've spent years trying to find the musical score for the show to get my hands on one particular track. It was used at the end of Rock 'n' Roar and the only version I've been able to find is one made for one of the video games.
I absolutely fucking despised that show and Animaniacs. Blue big chungus motherfucker can suck my dick.

This show almost ruined my life and nearly sent me down a dark path. Thank god the hard drive I kept everything related to it on caught fire.
Nicholas Campbell
Top one.
I like Tiny Toons more than Animaniacs, fight me.
Sebastian Price
Even people working in the show itself called it crap. I say this as someone who used to watch it plenty as a kid. Even the movie seems just okay to me nowadays.
You could tell in Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid that writers really came on their own when it was their own universes to develop, instead of poorly attempting to imitate the classics.
Nicholas Anderson
Wasn't there an official comic with Elmer Fudd killing Buster Bunny and Daffy laughing? That proved even back then they hated Tiny Toons
Hunter Perry
I cant hate tiny toons since it helped me get laid when i was just 8
