Hero mildly inconveniences villain

>Hero mildly inconveniences villain.
>Villain swears eternal vengeance against hero and keeps trying to kill him and his loved ones.

>Other villain betrays villain, or other villain tries to kill the villain or ruins his plans.
>Villain claims he'll get revenge on other villain but never follows through, and they team up again not long after and the previous betrayal is never mentioned.

Does this bother anyone else?

There are no villain betrayals, just an elaborate series of staged events designed to look like betrayals so the villains can cover up fatal flaws in their plans and operations.

At least in this case Joker had a good reason to betray Lex

The most annoying case is Lady Deathstrike. Her origin story is that Bullseye betrayed her father after he gave him an adamantium spine, so she tries to hunt him down, but her sensors detect Wolverine instead because of his adamantium skeleton instead and they fight. After Wolverine (with the help of Vindicator from Alpha Flight) beats her, she is so butthurt that she turns herself into a super-cyborg and dedicates her entire life to the sole purpose of killing Wolverine and other mutants. Her vendetta against Bullseye is completely forgotten, to the point that they are on the same Thunderbolts team in Civil War and she doesn't care.

Pretty much every Batman villain has tried to kill each other multiple times yet they keep teaming up.

I mean I understand where you're coming from but you picked a bad case study of it
>Lex hates Superman because he's an autist jealous of someone born intrinsically "better" than him, not because he made him go bald
>Joker ended up sparing Lex & everyone else anyway, this was just his own way of resigning & forcing Lex to confront the fact that trying to use TheBatWhoLmaos in his plans is fucking himself up the ass
>The literal next time they meet Joker saves his ass from certain death then gives him the key to defeating TheBatWhoLmaos

The thing with the Joker is that if you invite him into your top supervillian group, he'll eventually betray you for shits n giggles.

But if you don't invite him, he'll get offended at the exclusion and outright murder you, like he did to Alexander Luthor.

The obvious solution is to just kill the Joker and then you no longer have to worry about him. And unlike Batman, villains should have no qualms about killing people that get in their way.

Yeah, but i mean, if they did that, then... uhhh... well clearly...

Nope, got nothing. Why the fuck WOULDN'T Lex kill Joker, or Ras or any of the other 'sane', calculating villains? He fucks them up just as much as he messes with the heroes.

>A villain brainwashes other A class arch-nemesises like Cheetah, Sinestro and Grodd, which means “this one is better than anyone”
This is what bothers me

Lots of people have tried to kill the Joker. None of them have succeeded, and they've all regretted it.

Like that time the Joker broke into Carmine Falcone's house, killed his guards, and threatened the Don's life in . Why didn't Falcone put a huge bounty on Joker's head for that? Why didn't he pay any corrupt cop or Arkham guard to wack him?
Even worse in War of Jokes and Riddles, where the Joker brutally murdered Carmine Falcone's mother.

Meant to say "in The Long Halloween".

Right but that's just plot armor. You're telling me cosmic-level threats couldn't kill a guy who's shtick is "insane clown, no powers"?

FFS just tell the Joker to come to a meeting at Evil HQ and then nuke the place when he shows up. If he wasn't protected by Batman-tier plot armor it would be trivial to beat him.

Yeah all of that "the Joker survives each time" relies on him having henchmen, or his toxin, or weapons, or maneuvering space.

Just show up when he's locked up in Arkham and bring a crowbar, he'd appreciate the irony.

Spider-Man villains too. There have been multiple instances where the Sinister Six reformed just so that they could get revenge on Doctor Octopus, but he always ends up taking back control of the group anyway.

I want Zdrasky to do one of those comedic 2-3 page parodies like he used to ("metal is my only friend" still randomly cracks me up) with Doc Ock as an abusive ex who keeps shoing up in the lives of the other bad guys, Spidey telling Vulture and Chameleon and the others that they're better than that and need to respect themselves and then Ock shows up in a brand new Mercedes promising he's changed and that "it can be like the good old days again, we'll kill the wall-crawler this time, I promise, no one cares about you like I do".

ITT people are assuming other villains have any reason to kill Joker. Other than OP's pic he mostly just stays in Gotham & torments Batman. It's a commonly known thing not to include him in teamups, & so no-one ever does, & so no-one ever has any reason to swear vengeance against him.
When you have people like Falcone it's understandable because why would you want to risk provoking a supervillian, but everyone else just doesn't care enough to get involved because they've no stakes in it

Cosmic level threats? Remember when Mongul abducted the Joker to provide entertainment for his army? Didn't end well for him.

You'd think that somebody as petty as Doctor Doom would have murdered the fuck out of the Intelligencia for turning him into a retard in Fall of the Hulks.

I've only read a page that someone posted here relatively recently where Banner explains how Doom was shot by a retard beam and didn't realize what the hell was going on.

Or in Doom's latest solo series, Taskmaster actually murders Doom by shooting him in the head when he had no armor, and Doom only got out of it thanks to Death herself intervening on Doom's behalf to free him from Mephisto. Doom tortures Taskmaster, but leaves him alive, even though in the next issue he murders two civilians for making fun of him.

Taskmaster is USEFUL

The origin of the Doombot retcon.

The most logical assumption is that Doom is perfectly willing to fuck with Richards since he knows Richards won't do anything really bad in response, but going up against supergenius villains is a completely different matter.

>Joker tries to pull his shtick in Central City
>gets his ass beat by Rainbow Raider and the Turtle for trying to start shit
>unconscious body dropped off at CCPD headquarters in broad daylight
>CCPD effortlessly holds him for 2 weeks until he's transferred back to Gotham without issue
>Barry comes back from his vacation and asks if he missed anything

...he looks like MF Doom in that hoodie.

>you are not a combat unit
>why didn't you kill Arcade on the spot?

Doom answered his own question.

You sound like one of those Spiderfags who like to roleplay Spiderman humiliating A-list heroes then fucking their girlfriends in threads because he’s their self-insert fantasy. Joker doesn’t care about killing other villians because he has no reason to grudge them, & other villians would never try to flex their muscles on him “for trying to start shit” because that’s such a stupid reason for one psychopath to risk pissing off another, famously bloodthirsty psychopath. None of them are afraid of each other, they either don’t care or know it’s not worth it

Actually the point I was making was that most of Flash's rogues aren't psychopaths and have little tolerance for the kind of murderous spectacles Joker is known for pulling.

Yes, but it's the nature of the rigid hero-villain alignment of forces that exists in comics, so I'm resigned to it a bit. There are "villain" team ups that make no sense to happen at all because their goals are incongruous with each other, and their ideologies are basically opposites and the only thing they have in common is being aligned against the "hero" characters, and yet they happen anyway. Character and motivations have to unfortunately come secondary to the idea of "sides".

Its pretty damn stupid that Joker is capable of drugging Sinestro. His ring should had protected him.
