As much hate as DB gets its really the only series where I can watch my favorite characters fight to the death. I dont always agree with their results but they are doing things the way they think is best and they have the resources.
Plus they are pretty self aware of their mistakes.
In the Mask vs Deadpool episode they admitted all the matches they fucked up on.

Yeah it was the second fight against SSB when Superman tanked the full power kamehameha. Superman should have died. Full power SSB Goku could destroy the universe.

But Superman is literally an infinite being with infinite unlimited power infinitely. It takes an infinite amount of infinite force to even scratch him and then you have to take into account his infinite healing factor which can heal him infinitely

Superman has gotten smacked around and defeated plenty of times. Goku is on a powerscale much higher than what Superman is used to. Fighting Goku would be like fighting Darkseids true body. If Goku just released his maximum energy output the fabric of the universe would be ripped apart and destroyed.

They might stand by their ultimate decision but the way they reached that conclusion was faulty as all hell.
They used invalid soup feats and basically neglected to calculate anything in favour of saying 'no limits superman = EZ clap'
