This is actually interesting. When you have grown enough to see the faults in people you once look up to, hell even hate them. Seeing them get murder in front of you and suddenly all the good memories start flooding you.

But this is Willis, I'm sure "fuck you dad" will be in there somehow.

Yeah, I'm actually a little impressed. That's some nuance that I thought he couldn't remember how to do, especially after Becky's last strip with Ross all those years ago.

Just normal college stuff! I mean, since Willis got kicked out, maybe that's what he thinks college is.

Hmm, let's see what the current About page says:
>Dumbing of Age is a webcomic about college freshmen in the girls wing within a co-ed dorm at Indiana University, learning everything about life and themselves usually in the most difficult ways. It stars a Christian homeschooled girl and her atheist best friend, and also a disgraced cheerleader, a misanthrope, a rebel, and a caped vigilante.

>(There are also themes of depression and parental abuse, some utterances of homophobia and transphobia, and an instance of attempted sexual assault and a depiction of attempted suicide, so please be mindful.)

Attempted suicide? You mean that singular flashback panel of Becky's mom with a bottle of open pills?

Dorothy: I'M HELPING

Daily reminder all those events happened over the course of one single month

Right just like any normal school.

We've actually reached October! Found a calendar.

>Seeing them get murder in front of you and suddenly all the good memories start flooding you.

History confirms there are literally no good memories involving Becky's dad, just persecution and spite for "not being Christian enough".

But she was Becky dad, I'm pretty sure he was handing them snacks when they hung out. Driving them to movies, ect. As a single dad with a daughter I'm sure he had his hands full, and as far as I know he wasn't abusive. . . That's Amber's thing.

He*

Nope, just persecution and "you're not christian enough."

Did we ever find out why Becky's mom committed suicide?

She was very sick with cancer. She was miserable.

And, I mean, Becky was her daughter. Isn't that reason enough?

She should have just burned down the whole house, everyone inside and saved us all the trouble from this horrible family.

You're not wrong! I can think of multiple major things that wouldn't have happened without Becky. Too bad Dewd didn't come up with a creative way to diverge at that point.

>wouldn't have happened without Becky
Yup. Still Amber's dad just as horrible. The funny thing is that the mafia and crooked cops are supposed to involve.
1. That solves a plot hole of why the kids can't go to the cops
2. The cops and mafia have everything to lose and almost nothing to gain from everything going on.

My bad not almost
This is definitely a lose lose for them

Haven't you ever decided you would rather commit multiple felonies against your own child and her friends instead of shell out a few grand a year for tuition? I thought that was a very relatable mindset.

Kinda makes me think of the first draft of to Kill a Mockingbird, where Atticus was a bigot that Scout learns to love warts and all. Though Joyce isn't nearly as rough and tumble as Scout.

Oh, definitely, but at least he's kind of interesting in a train-wreck sort of way. It's amazing how incompetent he is.

Maybe the mafia/cops will earn a ton of favors from Blaine.

I'm getting the impression that he misses having a punching bag at home.

Don't forget pay an exorbitant amount of bail for some guy to be your henchman when you already have an army of henchmen, apparently

>waaaahhhhh life is so hard

white males, everyone

I don't believe for a second that he'd pay bail for any of these losers.

That was Joyce's church.

Second off you don't just get set free from bail, you're on parole with a parole officer.

I'm sorry, but are you implying that Willis should do research???
