Literally what the fuck happened in that episode

I just don't get it. They were literally building up all the evil morty and tammie shit through out their own show, only to toss it out at the last second because the people who enjoyed what they created didn't like it enough.

The whole point of the episode is that it's a really shit episode. That doesn't make it good. It tries really REALLY hard to be a non-meta good episode but it fails, because whether they write a lazy episode or not the show will still suck.

I'm tired, but I'll try. There was no pacing at all and they didn't reach the true potential that their concept had. Not even the sillier short stories were entertaining. I get that they were supposed to be bad on purpose, but they weren't the good kind of bad. It's like the person writing this script just assumed that whatever they were writing was funny because it was edgy.
It's hard for me to elaborate on this sort of stuff. All I can really say is that the episode just seemed phoned in. I really doubt that whoever wrote this genuinely tried their best to make something good.

The heist episode was bad because it was the same joke over and over again, this episode insisted upon itself in the same way but at least it had a variety of jokes.

They did this exact same thing with the Seshwan Sauce episode, explicitly telling the audience that none of the plot matters and they'll write whatever they want and once again people fell into the trap.
