I think the way her character can be interpreted in so many different ways is what makes her so good, like why did she lie to Ozai, maybe she did have a desire for love from her family but felt shunned by Ursa and Ozai and only felt like she could reach out to Zuko, or maybe she genuinely hated Zuko, hell even the incest angle stating she has a brother complex holds some water to some degree. I’ve heard some people say she doesn’t even care about being firelord she cares moreso about the personal battle with her brother and her other opponents, interpretations like that. It’s just neat and a sign of a great character.
