I have no criticism for this show, I like it fine, whatever.
So I'm coming from a pretty neutral place when I say that the bit with the two dudes talking about the show before and after the episode starts struck me as a monumentally stupid and unprofessional thing for the studio/writers/whatever to do.

Because Steph is the perky and fun one. For Babs, Batgirl is more of a sex thing. Which would have suited the tone of the show better, I think.
