It was a mess. It was clear Vivienne had a love for a bunch of characters she had designed and wanted to shove them into the pilot somehow, even if it cluttered up the scenes. Vaggie had more of a backbone than Charlie, she should've been the protagonist or at least Charlie should've had some of Vaggie's attitude.
Also, some scenes went on for way too long. It came across like "the more dialogue = the more witty banter!". Take the limo scene. They got on for about 3 minutes straight to say the same thing over and over again, it never actually progresses the character's emotional journey. It would've be funnier and cleaner if they smash cut to the limo, cut to Charlie + Vaggie glaring, then cut to them entering the house and that's when they have the, "How could you" spat.
Basically, this entire pilot suffered from the lack of an editor at every stage.

the story is full of plotholes, i know it just a pilot but seriousely there're so many questions that should've been answered in the very beginning but she prefered shoving a bunch of cringy devianart ocs that no one asked for
