What went wrong

It was a Hasbro/Discovery Channel partnership, after advertisers who were rivals of Hasbro didn't want to advertise with them because of Hasbro having such an influence, Discovery wanted more control back, and they ruined it.

It banked on nostalgia and nostalgia has a limited shelf-life. People get tired of watching re-runs.

Transformers Prime costed too much and after it was over there was nothing else to watch. Also, nobody had the hub.

Wrong
Right

Hasbro sucks ass at maintaining anything that isn't the horses and Transformers, and thee former was a fluke.

The only show to hit mainstream was My Little Pony which Hasbro probably got to keep a lot of profit from.

Still hoping Dan Vs. gets some sort of revival on Netflix or something.

It weird looking at the time in the corner of my PC, seeing date and not seeing a 2014 there in place of the 2020. Or not seeing HUB when scrolling down the guide. Every goddamn cartoon that poofed up when I was 20 is now dead and over. Soon my twenties too. Mom was right, right when you hit your mid-twenties it goes insanely fast.

It aired a lot of stuff besides that, it was the only good kids network while it was on. Discovery Family was a pale imitation that actually was literally just horses.

I liked how it was a better version of classic Nickelodeon than what Nick was doing at the time.

Renegades was underrated

>Discovery was more interested in Oprah's channel.
>Discovery Kids was a dead channel that not many people got and The Hub inherited that.
>Launched just as linear TV viewing started to drop hard.
>Hasbro being co-owner spooked other toycos from buying commercial time.

>Had everything from classic shows, to great new ones like Dan Vs, Aquabats, and GI Joe Renegades
>B--but horseshow baaaaaaaaad
>The last few good shows it had at the end of its life get unnoticed and die into obscurity
For the record, I also blame this shithole for the death of the Hub.

How?

I thought it was because it was a network formed by a partnership of two separate companies and one of them wanted out so it collapsed.

Man this station was actually really good. This was the first place I ever got to see the Adam west Batman and old G.I. joe cartoons.

>Still hoping Dan Vs. gets some sort of revival on Netflix or something.
Don't you fucking give those ruiners ideas.
They will make it some sort of shirrt "real life mixed with CGI" uncanny valley show.

Hasbro wanted out cause no one was watching.

>People get tired of watching re-runs.
>Boomerang
>Nicktoons Network
>TV Land
>Game Show Network
I can go on.

Horsefuckers.

They bragged about the Animaniacs ratings and that's probably one reason we're getting a revival.

You really don't know anything about Hasbro or the goings on of Hub if you think they found bronies to be a problem. There has been a tremendous amount of shouting out the fans and doing things for the fans in terms of MLP by Hasbro.

nobody likes horsefuckers. the show's own voice actors were absolutely disgusted with the fans kek.

Who the fuck cares what Canadians feel?

While the fandom IS disgusting, you should have been here to lurk moar.

You don't have any idea what you're talking about, once again.

God I want to ruin that woman.

Why lie? The voice actors went to multiple cons over the course of 10 years.

The 100th episode of MLP FIM was literally a giant love letter to the fans, so much that it was a giant controversy because people were upset about "pandering", there was a hell of a whole lot of Hasbro and the fandom crossing over, "horse famous" people got jobs doing voices for the shows, the VAs continued to go to conventions through the years and seemed to relish in the fact that they had such a big fanbase, fans OCs have been put into the show as actual characters, etc etc.

Get in line.

They mean the few times spaghetti exploded out of fans, Instances that were actually more about spaghetti exploding out of fans.

Think she ever painted each nail to represent as many characters as she ever played?
