Yeah, the sad thing is that vidya effectively replaced animation as an exciting medium for all ages, capable of telling stories with various themes and mood. They're also profitable, unlike animation. Now cartoons are seen as a kid-only thing - something that used to apply to video games in the past.

I'd like to see a Deponia TV series but I think half of what makes Deponia fun is that point and click adventure games kinda naturally make you act like a dick and this plays on that. A series where you're not in control could just make you hate him.

a deponia cartoon would be cool, but I think the whispered world (or world of silence) would make for better cartoon material, it is basicaly a darker, more sarcastic "over the garden wall"

I'm not the biggest fighting game aficionado, so take it as you will, but from what I gathered it's heavily templated after Marvel vs Capcom.
It's solid all around and has a very digestible and accessible way to learn the basics not only to the game, but fighters in general with it's tutorial.
What it lacks in some areas it makes up with heart and passion. The Deco atmosphere and Alex Ahad's designs really help carry the game.
