Am I crazy, or is it really rare to see a pregnant character in a cartoon? Is that on purpose because kids shows usually don't like showing a pregnant woman on TV, or is it just happenstance?

some execs are old people who still think it's appropriate to lie to or conceal the truth from your children, saying babies come from delivery storks

>saying babies come from delivery storks
They don't? I though the pregnant women were the myth....

Most writers are men that didnt actively participate in the pregnancy of their wife and thus cant write anything worthwhile about it

isn't more likely the fact that its a very rare event in the grand scheme of things? I mean a woman on average only experiences pregnancy 2 times in their life. Its not like it casually happens all the time.

This is even the same movie as the other pregnant thing I'm thinking of but no other movies I know of

I never understood the need to lie to children about it like that. I don't think most children wonder too hard about how a baby is made, I sure didn't.

because it brings to mind the fact that she had sex

that's hot

It's hard to have a stock model pregnant after a few seasons it's weird for them to not have it and keep being pregnant

It used to be way more common when I was a kid.

Most women will be pregnant way more times, but abort them.

Wow dude. You need to get outside more

Non argument

Statistically speaking only if they're black or hispanic.

>high school teacher forces you to touch her stomach
Just ugh
Isn't that what you want?

I personally don’t run into that many pregnant people in real life, so it seems appropriately represented in cartoons.

Does feel kind of weird that you see every other child developmental stage represented much much more, but only relatively.

We're in an era of cartoons where there's a lot more continuity now. Drawing different stuff per season doesn't seem to be as much of an issue.

Globally, the average woman will spend about two years of their life pregnant-to-term, plus more time temporarily pregnant before miscarrying or aborting. Just counting births, that’s about 2-3% of their expected lifespan...right around the low-to-mid estimate of how many people are gay/lesbian. So if it’s a statistics thing, since half the population is women, you should encounter pregnancy about half as often as you encounter a homosexual character. (Obviously this doesn’t apply uniformly across age groups...you’re not going to have pregnant fourth graders or Golden Girls...

i dont like HT because there's no progression. there's new story, but the kid stay same age and she's permanently pregnant

*kids

It doesnt help that half or most of americans still holds extremist puritan views, doesnt matter if they have left ideologies

Nah, the feminists don't like anything particularly feminine being shown. That's why you it's rare to see female characters drawn with breasts. Hips are okay because you need to accept fat people and also aging. (Anyone can get big hips, not everyone can get a good chest, so we can't have anyone excluded.)

It's pretty rare. There are probably multiple factors contributing to it's rareness honestly.

That doesn't even make sense from your own logic there, user.

>Isn't that what you want?
No, i think the unnecessary cessation of human life is always a tragedy regardless of race or age.

>marcos parents have canonicly had sex
wtf how can they show this to children

I can't think of many other pregnant characters in recent cartoons, honestly.

Pacha wife was pregnant through the whole movie. Barring that I can't really think of an example that wasn't some one note cliche being used.

I mean. By definition can you be a parent without having sex to your child. Not adoptive children.

For* not to
That came out really really bad

Then why aren't we forced to have as many children as possible if it's so famn special

Lady Rainicorn from Adventure Time is about the only one I can think of it. At least where it wasn't a joke.

some FUCKING SOME!

also hips and booty> tits
