This. I love Charles Martinet but that voice is not good for long speeches. When they had that real italian side to them it was a personality you could like. Mario has no personality now. Everyone is sanitized like Mickey Mouse. It works very well for video games where you just want to run and jump but a movie? No dice.

Why not just make it like the Mickey Mouse shorts? And if the voice acting is too much of a problem, why not make it a “actions speak louder than words” show like Tom and Jerry and Primal?

Because if I watch Mario do a bunch of stuff my first instinct would be "why can't this be a game?"

Adapt the Super Mario Adventures comic and call it a day.

Superstar Saga feels like a Saturday morning cartoon from the early 2000s,right down to the art style, and I feel like it really could have been an obvious choice to turn it into an animated series. So basically just do that.

You have plenty of Mario games to go play if that's what you want. God forbid they try something different.
