OK KO by dying too soon

I'll admit, those first 3-4 episodes of the last season we're pure kino.

Everything else though.

Thing is, franchises don't die. No matter how obscure a franchise is, it'll just won't stop coming ack.

Homestuck, full stop. It was already dragging once the original webcomic ended, but after Hiveswap, the epilogues, the Snapchat updates, a print edition (why) and now Homestuck 2, it’s basically a shambling corpse that wants to die but can’t. Someone please put it out of its misery already.

Space Cop

I tend to experience two scenarios most often that really annoy me
1) It had some rough parts, but it's great overall. Yet, the fandom is ruined and it's impossible to talk about anymore. examples: Adventure Time, Thundercats 2011
2) I defended it for a while, but over time it gradually became clear it was fucking awful and I desperately wish it had never existed. e.g. Korra, Steven Universe, Star Wars sequels, and... if I'm honest with myself, OK KO

>What went on too long?
Almost every single thing from the last 10 years

Futurama

Streaming platforms for creating such a cancerous environment, and for promoting current consumer habits

Simpsons

Star Vs.

I hate when people act like TV died and streamed bullshit just moved in to fill the void
no, that shit killed TV. along with other shit, politically RELATED to that shit.

Hey Ok ko's first 2 season were fine.

>>What went on too long?
Reruns on Cartoon network being focused on one to two shows and nothing else
>What should've stayed dead?
American politics doing a 180 turn in American animation and Zig Forums
>Who hurt you Zig Forums?
Zig Forums, this is my 1st time posting in a year and before that 3 years

read again more carefully

also Star Vs is another example for #1 that I couldn't think of. Iffy spots, but fantastic overall, and impossible to talk about and enjoy on Zig Forums anymore

Simpsons

>doing a 180 turn
this is what they want you to think. The thing about the "horseshoe" is that people were looking at an arbitrarily-decided point considered "the extreme" then moved "halfway" far away from it... then turned around and went back to the same point, declaring that they had reached the other side, and it was shockingly similar to where they started from!

So if Trump gets elected again, all incoming 18 year old anons will be libs?

>What went on too long?
Is saying Simpsons too obvious?

Most (long running) shows only have about 4 good seasons, the rest mostly coasting off the energy of those good ones. King of the Hill is probably the only long running animated shows that never really declined in quality, although even then you can tell near the end that it had pretty much ran its course.

>What should've stayed dead?
Family Guy
Futurama
Dexters Lab
PPG

>Is saying Simpsons too obvious?
I think that's a given. Poor Simpsons.

>What went on for too long?
Simpsons. Let it fucking die, Disney.
>What should have stayed dead?
Literally everything that has returned after being cancelled. You can't name one thing that came back from cancellation that maintained or improved the quality of the show.
>Who hurt you Zig Forums
Futurama was particularly sad to see shamble back to life, especially considering the solid ending point it had.

>You can't name one thing that came back from cancellation that maintained or improved the quality of the show.
Well, there's... I mean... shit you are right.

>What went on too long?
Star vs. I didn't hate it at the end, but I wish it died three years ago.
>What should've stayed dead?
Honestly? Futurama. Should've ended before the movies came out.
>Who hurt you Zig Forums?
Many, many countless things.

Beavis and Butt-head

>What went on too long?
SU, AT, The Simpsons
>What should've stayed dead?
Samurai Jack, Teen Titans (to everyone saying Futurama, the cc seasons were way better than Disenchantment and nu-simpsons)
>Who hurt you Zig Forums?
The SU, AT, SVTFOE, and Voltron finales, which were all huge disappointments, why can't show runners write decent endings to their stories these days?

That era of SpongeBob after the old guard left and before Hillenburg came back shortly before his death

don't really give a shit about the first 8 episodes or the fact that there were other episodes they could have picked to finish. the last 4 were all I wanted, and it was pretty fucking great.

RIP

>the last 4 were all I wanted, and it was pretty fucking great.
Same. Between that and the Fallen Order game it kind of seems like Order 66 is all Star Wars has going for it at this point.

Castlevania
I was content with the first 2 seasons and then season 3 just fucked it all up and I just stopped giving a shit
I'm not gonna bother watching Season 4

It was always the most interesting back story from the OT and the best pay off for the PT.

this
given how mixed 3 ended up being with most people I'm hoping they actually do their best to make Season 4 better
aw who am I kidding they won't, Ellis is a petty child
