Unimpeachably strong and unique start, but the last few trades have felt like padding and wheel turning. Coupled with the long hiatuses and my interest has vanished completely.

>Unimpeachably strong and unique start
Did we read the same book? It was bland and cliched up the ass

How so specifically?

the quips and all the usual sci fi tropes as well as Buffy speak

>there's two opposing sides, but there's a couple who has fallen in love even though they're on opposite sides!
Wow so fucking unique

Yeah, common tropes like that are prevalent in most fiction

which is why Saga is such a common book. It doesn't deserve to win so many oscars

>using the word "tropes" unironically
Okay that's it, you're a Fool

Definitely this. I tried reading it recently and it's crap. Along with Love and Rockets and The Maximortal. Add Watchmen to the list, of course.

>oscars
*eisners
got autocorrected to oscars

>It was bland and cliched
>how so
>...
>w-well, it's... it's f-fine to be bland and cliche like that because it's c-c-common!
Zig Forums is THE dumbest board, all you fuckers do is take things out of context and then start backpedaling 10 minutes later.

Nice strawman. Most loglines of any creative project are gonna sound bland and cliched. "Its Romeo and Juliet, IN SPACE". It all comes down to the execution. Saga was a fun read with interesting characters, art design, and world building. Even the tertiary characters became pretty beloved and the whole comic was an organic hit.

Anyway I've never read anything worse than this
Except Saga was not a fun read and the characters weren't interesting.

Give me your favorite comic and I'll reduce it to a bland logline.

It’s an artbook with words

that's more of an archetype than a cliche. it's like saying a cool dude with a gun is an overused concept

>It all comes down to the execution
and it's fucking bland and uninspired.

Go ahead then

You're not winning any points with me

The point is that you could've said this from the start instead of playing the fool "uhhh how so? durr" and then backpedal like this. Idiot.
No, that's not like it at all.

Holy fucking idiot!

What if we take Doc Savage and crank up the SCI-FI

Sounds great!

How does that tagline make it bland?

Pretty weak quibble that ultimately I was right except I took too many comments to get there.

It's repetitive and just a genre spin on something that has been done before. But it's all about the finished product is my point.

Right about what? that it's bland and cliche? Well, that wasn't your initial point but whatever helps you sleep at night, little guy.

That's you overreaching when trying to explain it to someone else
>Hey you know Doc Savage?
>No.
>W-WELL FUCK YOU IT'S LIKE DOC SAVAGE B-BUT WITH THE SCI-FI C-RANKED UP
Meanwhile Romeo and Juliette has been done thousands of times at this point. Nobody's asking you to reinvent the wheel, but try to branch out a bit.

When you are out of arguments I guess it's time to make it personal.

Why are you defending Saga so much? It sucks.

Personal?

I think he might be Brian K. Vaughn

They are on the run with child from the beginning and hated and hunted by their respective sides in the galactic conflict. Pretty branched from R+J's teenagers who try to run away together and then suicide.

I'm willing to believe it.

>When you are out of arguments
the irony...

>Pretty branched from R+J
Not at all.

>whatever helps you sleep at night
>I think he might be BKV
Yeah, personal

>>I think he might be BKV
That came after you exposed yourself.

So we are safe in assuming it's just butthurt BKV trying to defend his honor? LMAO

Did the Capulet and Montague patriarchs want to murder R+J because their love would topple their regimes? No it was small scale family feud and each side didn't want to kill their own heir.

Your favorite comic book.

Reiterating, when you are out of arguments I guess it's time to make it personal.

I love watchmen but over the years I can see why peeople might not think it's that good of a comic book.

What are YOUR arguments again?
>it's not cliche
>w-well it's okay to be cliche though
And after that you've just been whining. Saga is not a good book. Accept it and move on.
