Clone Wars is trash

>OMG ASHOKA VS DARTH MAUL FUCKING BADASS!

Person with more than 2 brain cells
>Ah so these two dull 1 dimensional uninteresting characters with no history or real character motivation to fight are having a stake less over choreographed pointless sword fight....fun

Why does anyone like this garbage series again?

Your take reads like a Mysterious Mr. Enter review. I don't like Star Wars but I just wanted you to know you should feel embarrassed for having posted this.

Well you should feel embarrassed for knowing you tube celebs because you cannot form your own opinions and boasting about it

Filoni is a hack. His take on Clone Wars (and almost everything else he is involved in) is just used as a vehicle to push his OC, practically non-canon waifu. Unlike the original Clone Wars cartoon, his 3D one (and Rebels) undermines the saga itself. Bringing Maul back was idiotic but was one of many terrible things that show did

Who is the bigger hack him or Lucas?

...

Bitch nigga

>practically non-canon waifu
He's a man with one aim: bring orange buttcheeks to the big screen. At that point, his waifu will be forever irrevocably canon. What have you done for your waifu lately?

>OMG IT LOOKS SO AMAZING

>This is poorly animated trash. It's 90% static closeups of just peoples mouths moving and empty backgrounds with weightless animation

Reminder that it was actually Genndy who was supposed to be in charge of the entire Lucasfilm animation division. The contracts were all drawn up, Genndy was getting ready to move his family when George pulled the pin at the last minute because he was afraid no one liked Star Wars anymore and he'd go. A few years later he gave it to hack Filoni instead.

We were this fucking close to having Star Wars kino for years and years.

Season 7 was heavily edited to fit modern politics and pointless references to the new movies. For example, the picture of padme was removed because it might objectify women & Ahsoka was finally dressed up. But the show was different before it was cancelled by Disney, and that is a reason a lot of people liked it.

>Season 7 was heavily edited to fit modern politics
Such as?

Not objectifying women as mentioned
The Martez arc consisting only of women and particularly women of color
Feminist writing

Leia being Rey's mentor is still a huge step down from what she was in the EU

the difference is that Asoka is better written than Rey

they shouldn't have changed her outfit
or changed her character so much now that she left the jedi

My niece fucking loves the Clone Wars.
Her favorite character is Cad Bane, and I watch it with her.
Fucking kill yourself OP, you bitter piece of shit.

Genndy fucking ruined SJ good thing he wasn't involved too much in SW

That isn't saying much at all. Ahsoka is still a blatant Mary Sue.

To be fair, Filoni had to adapt to George turning Grievous into a weak, jobbing asthma-prone mess.

Lucas, the moment he stopped stealing from Jack Kirby and Akira Kurosawa his movies started falling apart.

I didn't hate it, it was fanfic-y but had a couple of moments I enjoyed, mostly space vietnam shenanigans with the clones. It did something I always wanted from the Prequels, if anybody else remembers that elevator scene in Attack of the Clones when Anakin and Obi-Wan are jawing about character development we never see. I always though "man I sure wish we could have actually seen these characters develop on screen, what with film being a visual medium and all." It's always fun to watch Sheev scheme, especially in his prime.
I'm not going to applaud it or anything because it should have come a lot sooner and started off with more polish, considering the pedigree of it's franchise. I'm also not going to spend excessive energy shitting on it, granted some of it is just downright bad, some episodes grate so hard I had to skip them, but holy fucking shit the Sequel Trilogy garbage makes Clone Wars look like solid gold by comparison.

Lucas. The dude can come up with some pretty great ideas but can't execute them for shit.

I liked ashoka during the original run though. Not a fan of how she's being used in recent shit though.

the conflict is interesting because of how maul is desperately trying to convince her of what's happening and ahsoka having unwavering belief in anakin, all while the audience knows it's misplaced. we don't wanna see ahsoka join the dark side or give up on anakin given their relationship, but we know maul is right and we want to see him get through to her before it's too late. it's called dramatic irony.

still is*
A costume change is never character development, positive OR negative. Ahsoka does seem really cold though. She gets better by Rebels, but she seems distant in the finale.

Uh hello based department?

>some retard fagott is upset about one of the best Star Wars characters because she is a girl
>tries to rationalize it

I had a dream last night that there was a 6th season of Samurai Jack featuring him and a revived Ashi. I was so relieved when I woke up and the show was still ended.

Being bankrolled by George, this show had the leeway to just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. It's crazy the variety of stories it told, some good, some bad, none really mattering to its success, because its success wasn't 100% tied to money since George set the budget. That also gave them the budget to make every episode look as cinematic as possible, outside of technology constraints. Ahsoka's head tails are no doubt easier to animate than flowing hair. It all still looks good though, especially as the show goes on.
